This hotel is minutes away from the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade. The hotel is built as an atrium, with all rooms overlooking the lobby. The walls facing the hallways were all made of glass, which was a bit unnerving as if your curtains weren't properly adjusted then passerby's could easily look into your room! The rooms are...

The location of this property can't be beat! The Promenade was an easy walk, staff was friendly, room spacious but a bit dated. The parking charges were outrageous, $28 a day! Took the advice of another reviewer and parked across the street for $5 a day. If you want to stay in Santa Monica this is a good, but pricey...

The hotel is a little tired, but the suites are big and value-for-money is great! In 5 min you can walk to Santa Monica Pier or 3rd Street Promenade. Parking is reasonably priced and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Highly recommended for families!

The hotel location is not bad within walking distance from the beach and the 3rd street promonad. The staff were very friendly; and the room was as you expect from Embassy Suites or Double Tree chain; the price in my opinion was a little bit high; parking was $28 per night

We wanted something nice that would allow us to explore Santa Monica and the beachfront with a minimum of driving hassle, and the Doubletree fit the bill. Less than a 10-minute walk from the the beachfront and even closer to the dozens of restaurants, shops and bars in downtown Santa Monica, the hotel is reasonably priced for a high-price area....

The Double Tree (Hilton) is a perfectly fine hotel to use for your business trip. It has all the amenities and features you need to work when needed and relax when you get back from a long meeting. Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
