Friendly staff, very pleasant hotel with a nice porch and free WiFi. Rooms were well appointed and were comfortable. Keurig coffeemaker and good pod coffee were appreciated - so much more convenient than the cone filter systems. Less of a business road-warriors hotel than a place for relaxed business and personal travel.

We arrived in Santa Monica last week and found our hotel wasnt up to it. We then turned up at the Georgian on the off chance, and they were able to offer us three nights in a suite with great ocean views. The room was lovely and clean, well appointed and fine for a small family. Ths hotel has a... More

This is an older hotel so if you want modern and sleek then it's not for you. This historic hotel has a real charm and is in an excellent location. A short walk to Venice Beach, minutes to the pier, third street promenade, great shopping and a variety of places to eat. Staff are friendly and helpful, and an evening... More

After travelling from the UK for over 16 hours we were slightly annoyed with the attitude of the staff when checking in. We had arrived not long before 3pm and our room was not ready fair enough. There was a very offhand comment made by the receptionist about the deal we had been given through Expedia inferring we had got... More

It could have been better if only check in was a breeze, except we got there 3:20pm (check in is at 3) and the front desk said that our room is not yet ready.. So they got our number and said they'll call us back in 30-40mins, i just thought that's kind of long considering we were already few minutes... More

We picked the Georgian Hotel because of its location. And location is what you pay for. Our room was nice, great ocean view. The hotel itself is a historic beauty with a nice atmosphere. However, staff did not live up to our expectations. There is no effort to sell more than fame and location. We arrived without a reservation, asked... More

Gracious design, good service. Found a good package including valet parking and a really full breakfast. A misunderstanding with the reservation was promptly resolved. Faces ocean, close to shopping & restaurants.

This Boutique hotel has successfully preserved the atmosphere of a grand hotel of the 1920s. The staff service was flawless. The location was excellent, across the road from Santa Monica beach, and close the the 3rd St Mall.

We booked the Geogerian for 3 nights in January because of its location close to ocean & near the centre Santa Monica, its older world charm and the good reviews on TripAdvisor. During our stay, all these points meet our expectations. Late every afternoon or early evening, we would enjoy a drink served by friendly and helpful staff on the... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
