Not friendly receiptionist lady. She refused our request for an hour late check-out very unfriendly way. Room needs to be repaired; too old.Location of the hotel is very good. A dog barked at one of the neighboring rooms to us.

From start to finish, this was the best hotel experience! The employees were always welcoming and helpful. You can tell that they care about their jobs and their fellow staff members as well as the guests. The service was impeccable. The rooms were clean and quiet. The location was perfect. My only disappointment is that I had to leave! It...

The Georgian was beautiful and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the view is even better. We ate breakfast out front at The Veranda every morning and it was the best way to start the day! Walking distance to everything including the beach, shops, and the pier. One night we even got back late...

I stayed at the Georgian for the weekend with a group of friends. The location is perfect. You can walk to the pier, to the Third Street Promenade, and to lots of great restaurants and bars. I stayed in a suite and while the building is older I found it very comfortable, quiet, clean and nice. The restaurant downstairs in...

The hotel is beautiful since it preserves the original architecture from the 1930s (though completely renovated and comfortable). Very clean rooms, very cosy with few rooms. Excelent location near the 3rd st promenade and st Monica pier. Downsides: reception is barely existant, very small and there are no ramps to facilitate luggage transportation (though there is acessibility for the disabled)....

We first stayed in this hotel many years go, when it was particularly tired and a bit creepy in that old LA way. It has undergone a steady programme of upgrading over the years and we now find it perfectly acceptable. It is an old hotel, quaintly fun to stay in. It retains many original features (which give it its...

Great location on beachfront in Santa Monica. I had good views from my room along the beach. Stairs at front and to lifts, they did have ramp and chair lift but perhaps not the most accessible. Longish wait for 2 lifts, one if which was old style. Room comfortablyou furnished. Good value overall.

We had a great time at The Georgian. Wonderful location . Staff helpful and friendly. The especially enjoyed our meals on the Veranda. Breakfast was delicious and cocktails and appetizers were wonderful at sunset. Our ocean view room was very nice but next time I would book a suite.

Great location in Santa Monica. The hotel was built in the 30s and it looks like it's being revived in steady fashion. Fine sized rooms although it smells like grandma's place. (I think she is kept under the bed). The smell kind of ruins the ambience of a boutique hotel. Not much in the way of services offered at the...

Room was spacious and very clean though view was a brick wall and room was next to the elevator. We had 4 people and only 3 towels but fortunately one decided not to shower otherwise it would have been a problem. Love, love the veranda both early morning and late at night though drink items quite pricey. We enjoyed the...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
