We stayed for 2 nights at Seaview Hotel, the location is perfect - walking distance to boardwalk, beaches, shopping and dining. The hotel is certainly nothing flash but the cost, location and free parking makes up for that.
The lady at reception was excellent also!
Pros: The Seaview is the perfect location to the beach, about a half block, three blocks to pier and promenade. Large room with private kitchen. Parking. Beautiful gardens and super nice staff.
Cons: It is a budget hotel and in need of major work. The...More
The day shift staff was awesome! The room was beach-cool. Very short walk to one of the best Calif beaches around. Cora's Coffee shop was next door, went for dinner in their patio-not bad at all! The greenery around the patio was very lush and...More
Lovely little hotel, was kind of expecting a room but it was more of a suite with a separate kitchen/diner which was a nice surprise. Really nicely decorated, sympathetically done. Our bathroom and shower was in good condition, no complaints there. Not much parking, about...More
Good value for money compared to the big hotels. This was my 4th visit to Santa Monica and after previously spending a fortune on the bigger hotels I didn't hesitate to book the Seaview Motel again. My first visit 2015 was in Room 10 which...More
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
I don't remember about the room safe. I felt safe. We had a double lock on our door and the staff were there through out the night for security. You are right on the Santa Monica strip of busy restaurants and hotels, so as... More
I don't remember about the room safe. I felt safe. We had a double lock on our door and the staff were there through out the night for security. You are right on the Santa Monica strip of busy restaurants and hotels, so as in any city, it will be busy. But I felt safe.
I was in room number 1 which did not have air conditioning but did have 3 electric fans. No real windows to open either but it was well shaded. As for the breeze? There's plenty as you're less than 100 metres from the beach!
