Love this Inn. We always stay in the tower as the rooms are larger and have nice views. Bed was very comfortable. Internet worked well. Everything was fine. The rooms and lobby are nicely appointed. Love the historical feel to the whole place.

I had a recent need to spend three nights in a local hotel. My room's bed and bathroom appeared to be clean and in good repair. The room could have used some paint or a cleaning rag on some of the walls and trim. Common hallways appeared to have not been regularly vacuumed since I saw the same few toothpicks, in the same locations, for the three days I was there. Enclosed, carpeted breezeway definitely needed some TLC to their silk plants and containers. There were dropped leaves, dusty plants and cobwebs on the planter. Debris that had blown in through the exterior door and that accumulated on the outside entry mats need to be swept off regularly. I was turned off by black mold in the dispenser area of the ice machine where you set your ice bucket to have it filled. This was on the second floor of the historic section of the hotel. For now I will take the Santa Maria Inn off of my list of recommended places to stay for out-of-town guests or relatives.

The hotel room was dirty, there were toenail clippings on the carpet near the bed, the bath faucets were leaking, the tub and sink had mold and mildew, the reception lady was rude, its old & smells old.

This is a historic hotel. If you don't enjoy older hotels you may not like it. I love the outside and lobby decor. My double queen room is HUGE. The room is clean and inviting. The hotel is allegedly haunted, which I am fascinated by. I haven't experienced anything yet. The price for Santa Maria is excellent. I ended up getting my dinner at Bill's Take Out. I had a cheese burger ang some shrimp. Both were very yummy. Make sure you have cash only if you go to Bill's. The hotel does have breakfast, but you will have to pay for it. I would stay here again. I will recommend it to others.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past - and unfortunately, this stay will be our last. Filthy - garbage, straw wrappers, food behind the dresser. The lights in the bathroom were all burned out - out of 4 bulbs, only 1 worked. The window was stuck open - and the handle to close it was broken off. Notified the front desk, and they said that there was no one on staff that evening to fix. Trash overflowing in the receptacles outside - beer bottles everywhere. Upon check out, the front desk clerk was NOT wearing a mask. He apologized for the uncleanliness and state of the room, and said that they were a bit understaffed. Won't return.
