This is a lovely place close to the boardwalk and Pacific Avenue. However, it is not well run. The web listing claims that they serve breakfast, but that is incorrect. They offer bottled water plus yogurt but the refrigerator in the lobby was empty when we arrived and never refilled. Several lights were out in our room, because the circuit breaker must have flipped. I located the fuse box in the hallway with its door hanging open --it seems other guests had experienced electrical issues as well. The fireplace did not work, although the remote had power. No one at the front desk to help. This is a self-serve place. You will need to decide if the location is worth the disappointment.
The room was cozy and homey. I had my own private little balcony to have my coffee and watch the sunrise or have any meals at. The refrigerator is big but not cumbersome inside the room. You have a air conditioner also, if needed. Just a lovely experience of feeling like a home away from hom, and Lekhini the mgr. was so welcoming and professional. Made me feel happy and I know I will return.
My boyfriend and I wanted a cute place near the beach that wasn't just going to be a basic motel. We got a room with a small balcony. The website warned it was compact, which it was, but it was perfect for us. Our fireplace remote wasn't working so we asked the front desk for more batteries and got them immediately. Overall a very pleasant experience!
Omg! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at!!!! I booked a two night stay here in their biggest room with a jacuzzi. I paid for it in advance on their website. Once I got there another person and I had booked the same room. Since they got there first we had to get the small room for the weekend!!! I would have never booked this place if I knew we were not getting the spa;( our room was so small and there was hair on the bed and floor, red markings on the sheets, dirty tray. So in the morning we leave for the day. Before I leave I make my bed, I tie the trash bags and leave them by the trash cans and leave our towels on the bathroom floor to be picked up, I left my perfumes, body lotion and my husband’s Cologne on the glass tv stand. In the shower we left our body washes in the shower, our toothpaste and bag of tooth picks on the sink. We got back to our hotel around 12am with our maid clean up service card gone, thinking they cleaned our room. To our surprise all of our stuff is gone!!!!!! But the towels we left our on the floor and the trash bags I tied up are on the floor. Our room was not even touched to be clean ,but all of our stuff I left out is missing? I tell the managers both of them made me feel like I was lying! Telling me oh no it couldn’t have been our maids!!!! Made me cry out of frustration! Then I said there’s a camera over my room look at the camera! They kept insisting it wasn’t true!!!! That it never happened !!!! Well it did!!!! If this was the Hampton’s they would have immediately got to the bottom of it. So my husband went crazy on them and they said they will put 1 night stay money back to my account and then they will check the cameras.... that should have been the 1st thing they should have told me rather then me telling them 1st... they treated me with so much disrespect! The night they messed up my room I was so kind to them. And for them to treat me like I’m lying!!! I was in disbelief! They never checked the cameras. I called and this man Dominic picked up and I told him everything as he was aware since I left a letter. He was also there the night our rooms got mixed up... such a sweet, kind man. He wanted to get to the bottom of this and he got ahold of the cameras and boom there you go, there was a maid in my room and she took our stuff!!! They are trying to claim she didn’t know we were coming back or something... but it’s clear the girl went straight to our stuff and puts it in a bag and doesn’t touch nothing else and leaves the room right away. They say she threw it away.... I know she did that to get it out the trash later. I had Victoria’s Secret perfume, and bath and body works spray and lotion and my husband had Burberry Cologne.. I have bath and Bodyworks body wash and he had axe... the bottles were brand new! And you think she’s just gonna go throw them away... ya right!!! They are Obviously covering for her... like how do you walk past the trash bags and towels but managed to grab only my stuff... anyway. They gave me back my money But 20 bucks for maid clean up service lol ...that took 2 weeks to get cuz I kept bugging them. Watch your stuff!!! Take pictures or video of how you left your room. I wish I could post the picture and videos to show you guys... my room was room 8..... if you need to trust any one on the team trust Dominic... he handled us with so much care. He’s just an employee but should be a Manager. The managers don’t care about you or have the respect for you... they seriously need to be trained!!!! So there you have it. My unfortunately experience at this horrible hotel. The owner didn’t even call to reach out! The managers didn’t even follow through with what was going on. Only Dominic!!!! Thank you Dominic for being the only responsible person there to help me through this unforgettable Unfortunate moment!!! Your boss needs to go over common courtesy with your managers and train them to Standards!…
So my girlfriend and I tried to book a stay here at the Rio Vista suites about a week ago when I was going to purchase my order it said error and I was never charged on my card, no confirmation email or anything was sent to me so I figured it was a glitch in the system. I ended up deciding to stay somewhere else instead of attempting to book it again. now I guess I will take some responsibility as I could’ve given them a call to see if it went through. This had never happened to me before so after waiting to see if I got and email or have the charge show up on my Mobil bank statement and seeing nothing, I made other plans and I stayed in San Francisco instead. I never got a confirmation email I never got a phone call or an email saying that your booking has been complete until last night I get a phone call at 10 o’clock saying that attached is my late check in information so I called them and I’m just totally disappointed with the way things were handled. Zero customer service. Zero attempt to understand and help try and figure out or explain a way that I could get reimbursed or try to have a different night there. Just absolutely a “too bad for you, I don’t care” attitude I’m totally saddened by this and I will never be staying at Rio Vista suits. An eye opening experience on how many people don’t even want to attempt to try and help someone. $120 down the drain, hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Total lack of professionalism.…
