The room in this nicely decorated victorian house was very comfortable. Very comfy bed, luxurious bathroom and a great view of the sea. The good breakfast will have something for everyone and is a good start of the day. The hotel is very conveniently located to close to the pier and restaurants in walking distance. The complimentary Wine & Cheese as well as the home made cookies are not to be missed.

We had a lovely stay at this inn and I'm only sorry that we just spent one night here on our roadtrip. The property has been renovated really nicely and the room and bathroom were beautiful and fresh. Staff was super friendly and you really got that "feel at home" feeling. It was a really nice touch that they had complimentary sodas and a cheese and wine hour in the afternoons, they even waited for us to arrive before they removed it even though we were arriving after the hour. We will definiately stay here again if we come back to Santa Cruz!

Nice clean place. The bungalow is, as the name would suggest, not attached to the main building. It was small, but comfortable, quiet and had a small ocean/beach view out a small window. Location was very convenient to the wharf and beach.

We stayed in room 3 .... an excellent room with an ocean view. The hotel is very close to the beach. Breakfast was fantastic and the hot option changed every day. Warm baking was always available as well. The wine and cheese hour (4:30-5:30) was also very nice ... well portioned and always replenished. Amber and the front desk crew went out of their way to make sure that we had a nice stay and you you feel the sincerity. Nothing really negative to add, location is great, food and hospitality is nice as is the staff. We were very pleased.

We had a lovely 2-night stay in the Superior King Spa room of this historic B&B which included a king bed, a separate day bed, a large bathroom with an oversized jetted tub and a separate walk-in shower, a corner fireplace, two chairs, a desk and a large flat screen tv. This room is located upstairs on the third floor of the main building and there’s no elevator access (just to be aware). The chocolate chip cookies on a plate on the bed upon arrival were a nice touch. From this room, there’s an ocean view only if you look out the small window near the fireplace but it was quiet and spacious, yet cozy. It was nice to have the day bed as a separate place to stretch out, relax, and read. But this could accommodate a third person per their website. The room has no AC (but it’s rarely needed here) and the fireplace serves as a heater but given the mild temperates during our stay we were completely comfortable. The B&B itself is gorgeous, in a historic building built in 1877 renovated 2004-2007. And it has been very well maintained since, with a very comfortable front room that has large windows that allow for a view of the beach and ocean and wrap-around porches on the first and second floors. It also happens to be in a great location and is within walking distance to the pier and the boardwalk. I found the breakfast to have a nice array of items to choose from and there was always one main hot item every morning. The Sunday quiche was delicious and the portions were very generous. There was always fresh fruit, granola and muesli, and a baked item. We are still COVID-cautious due to high risk family members and people we work with so in addition to the comfortable and relaxing breakfast area, I was happy to be able to sit out on the front porch and have my breakfast while overlooking the Santa Cruz pier, beach and the ocean in the distance. There’s a balcony on the second floor that’s accessible by a door on the landing that has comfortable chairs with the same gorgeous view. From check in to check out, the customer service and front desk personnel were friendly, professional, and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! And we’ll definitely be back again!

This BEAUTIFUL property blew me away! It’s a gorgeous Victorian Mansion that’s decorated in a way that respects its history and yet is very updated. The bathroom was marble with the largest walk-in shower. I rented the room that had a private balcony with a hot tub. The hot tub was so cozy on the cold humid nights. One free parking spot was provided with your room with no extra charge. You can see the boardwalk and wharf from your room. The walk is 2 mins to all the activities on the beach. Meals and cheese and wine offered throughout the day. I HIGHLY recommend this property instead of a generic hotel.

We had a very nice stay at the West Cliff Inn. The location is great, right near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and pier. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday with a 2 day getaway. The happy hour was nice and the daily breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our own patio and hot tub. The place is well-maintained and very comfortable. Can't wait to return.

We recently stayed at the Inn. It was conveniently located within walking distance to Santa Cruz wharf and boardwalk. The staff was helpful but not super friendly. We were in room 3 which had a beautiful view of the bay. The room was a very nice size. . Although there was no air conditioning and the room was warm when we arrived, it cooled down with the open windows and the fan. I was worried about noise from the street but this really wasn’t a problem. The bathroom was spacious and had a slight smell of bleach. The room was super clean. We missed the wine and cheese but they did have cookies which were good. Parking was tight but available. Breakfast was mostly cold Items but there was a good hot egg casserole. The food in the buffet was plenty filling and mostly organic. I did also like that they had cold water available in the breakfast area at all times. Would stay there again.
