If I had paid half the price, this would be a much better review. But for over $1000 for two nights, I just expect more. For example, when they came to clean the room, we were on our way out and asked if they’d come back in an hour. No one did. So we had a pile of wet towels and half filled cups of coffee until the next day. When I asked for more towels, I got them—handed to me while I was holding 3 cups of coffee and my phone. Wet towels never got picked up. I liked the old motel vibe and the view was great, but it felt more like an old motel than a $500 a night hotel.

Great first floor beach view room. Had two queen beds with a full kitchen. Room was very clean and suited our needs for our family of four. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the room were amazing. Even though it was the first floor, you could still see the beach perfectly. We would definitely stay here again.

We initially booked here because it is directly across the street from the beach but we found so much more. The rooms were very clean and beautiful with the added benefit of not only free use of washer and dryer machines but also of free purified water and ice. But the main reason I am writing this review is because of the staff. They were absolutely great they did everything and then some to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Thank you so much Beach Street inn and Suites staff, you are all so awesome.

We stayed this past July 4th Weekend in the Oceanview Sundeck Suite. My husband and I stayed in the Murphy bed, and my brother and wife stayed in the bedroom. The view was amazing, and luckily some people set off fireworks on the beach within our view. We even enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful deck with a view. The walk to the boardwalk was less than 10 minutes, and the beach was literally right across the street. Here were the downsides: when we first arrived, the room wasn’t ready on time. They were nice enough to give us a key so we could access the pool and beach entrance, and they also gave us a $100 discount for not having the room ready on time. Secondly, the second shower head in the bathroom was not working. Also, one of the small towel hooks came off the wall randomly. It looked like they just screwed it into the drywall, which they probably should have used a drywall anchor or something considering the weight of the hook. Neither of these are dealbreakers, but for $750/night, you would hope they would be better. Last but not least, a few of us got bug bites on the trip, and we determined that we probably got it from the couch based off of who got them. Overall, we still had a great time, the location was on point, the customer service was good, but the bug bites were a bit annoying.

Hello JapachinoPiggy, Thank you for providing this feedback. The insight you've provided is extremely valuable to us. We apologize for not providing a stellar experience and are using your review to better our operations. We are happy to share that we have inspected the room a couple of times for bugs since your departure and did not find any evidence (we look for bedbugs specifically). Of course sand flies and other bugs frequent the beach area and we are sorry that your party experienced that. We thank you again for this review and hope you will consider staying with us in the future. Best Regards, Erik W

I wish I could give the Beach Street crew 10 stars! Wow, wow, wow did they blow us away. We stayed three days and two nights, and had two rooms - an Ocean View Sundeck Suite and a Beach House Fireplace Suite. First and foremost, I have to give a shout out to JESSICA who is by far the most wonderful, warm and welcoming front desk supervisor I have ever met in my many years of traveling, from Hawaii to New York to Paris to Tokyo. She is top notch and not only treated us like family but really helped me out when I was in a bind when she didn’t have to. I hope the owners know just how amazing she is! Second, location, location, LOCATION! This place is perfectly situated between the Boardwalk and the Wharf, and on top of the Picnic Basket (yummy breakfast and lunch items) and across the street from Ideal (yummy restaurant) and the beach. At first I was sad not to get a room at the Dream Inn but after staying here I’ll never go anywhere else. Both rooms were absolutely amazing! The Ocean View Sundeck Suite has a private King bedroom as well as a sofa bed AND a Murphy bed PLUS a full kitchen AND the most amazing Sundeck with gorgeous beach views. And the Beach House Fireplace Suite had a huge bedroom, beautiful bathroom, and a cozy living room complete with both a sofa bed and Murphy bed with a fireplace and the cutest deck to take in the ocean view, along with a small refrigerator and a microwave. Yay! But it gets even better! When you wake up you can go to their coffee bar for a latte or cappuccino on the house. And I’m the afternoon you can return for a cool snow come on the house. And I think I saw popcorn too, which is great for movie nights! The pool is so cool and chic - in addition to the heated pool and hot tub, there are comfy seating areas and a fire pit! If I had any constructive feedback, it might be that the pool could have been a tad cooler on the hot days we were there. But that’s what the snow cones are for! Thank you, Beach Street, for an absolutely wonderful weekend getaway. We can’t wait to come back soon!
