Few blocks to the boardwalk and pier. Beach access was down a few sets of stairs. Lots of good restaurant choices that were a short car ride away. The restaurant list in the lobby was spot on. Staff was very courteous and friendly. The complimentary coffee and popcorn was a plus. The kid loved the beach, pool and hot tub. The room exceeded my expectations for the area. It was a little bit on the pricer end but worth it for the location and heated pool. Would definitely stay again.
Such a perfect location. Within walking distances to the beach, shops and restaurants in the area. Can see the Pier and Boardwalk and beach from your room. The room was like a condo. Had a sink, microwave and small fridge. We slept five in the beach suite with plenty of room. TV's in both rooms as well. Patio area overlooked the Bay and we could watch sailboats from our living room. Pool is heated with a hot tub and fire pit that is lit at night. Great place for friends and/or family to hang out. Our room was very modern and clean. Staff was super friendly and available at any time.
We came down from SF for an overnight to end our vacation in California. The check in was quick and friendly. We were surprisingly upgraded to an ocean view which made the special occasion that much better. We slept like babies with the ocean sounds right out our window. The beds were comfortable, shower big and the free coffee is much appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again.
If you want to stay close to the Santa Cruz boardwalk/pier, this is the perfect hotel. There is a wide range of prices for different rooms depending on the location. We really liked layout of the room. It was perfect for a family of four with a murphy bed (comfortable) and sofa bed (not as comfortable, though fine for a child) in the living/dining area, and a king bed in the bedroom. The price for the location and size was very reasonable as the room faced the pool (no ocean view). The room including bathroom was very clean, and the quality was good for a two-star hotel. The kids enjoyed using the pool and jacuzzi as well. Surprisingly, although our room faced the pool, we did not hear that much noise from the pool/jacuzzi/outdoor firepit area. However, the bedroom faced a parking lot, and there was significant noise of cars coming in and out as well as people talking in the lot until quite late into the evening.…
This place is great. Views are gorgeous. Fabulous location with decks to hang out and share a cocktail with your neighbors. We’ve stayed twice and will definitely go again as long as they replace the mattresses ASAP! I would have given 5 stars but the mattress was terrible.
Nice rooms, clean, cute decor, friendly staff. Great location, close to all attractions and yards from beach. Pool and fire pit on site. Will definitely stay there again. Will recommend it to family and friends.
Jessica and her team helped our family secure a beach view double queen room just days before we arrived to the hotel. We had needed a family get-away and we found it! The property is very clean and attractive. We enjoyed the pool and fire pit on the grounds. We also appreciated the complimentary espresso bar and popcorn that was offered in the guest services office. The water filtration machine and free use of a washing machine and dryer were great perks. The room was very nicely decorated with high end trim and beachy shutters. The kitchenette had all the right features to help a family set-up station for a few days. But far better than all of these amenities was the view and location! We were just steps away from the Boardwalk and Wharf and the ocean waves could be heard from our room. The trendy restaurants and shops nearby on Beach Street offered everything we needed. However, the Inn is also just a half mile from the adorable and historic downtown, so we were easily able to walk to a jazz show one evening. We felt like we had a better vacation than if we had booked a trip to Hawaii and immediately started planning to come back. Thanks to Jessica and the Beach Street Inn for introducing us to our new favorite family vacation destination.…
View from upstairs Beach House suite is breathtaking. Not sure which is more beautiful - night view or early morning. Bed and couch are adequately comfortable. Unit was clean and decorated in a beachy style. Rooms are big. Living room had plenty of seating. We used the outdoor table and chairs to eat take-out because of Omicron. I especially loved the half bath off the living room. That way two people could use bathrooms at the same time. This would be a great unit for parents and kids on vacation. Since we didn't use the beds in the living room, I don't know how comfy they are. But kids can usually put up with a lot. Especially when they are on a beach vacation. We did have a big issue with the shower. We had a choice of blazing hot or frigid cold. We didn't want maintenance to come in our room. Plus, we didn't discover this problem until the morning of our departure. The manager gave us a discount to rectify this issue. We are satisfied with the discount.…
I loved the room. It was very cheerfully decorated with a definite theme of being at the beach. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the complimentary lattes in the morning. That was a real treat. I liked that the refrigerator was quite a bit bigger than a mini fridge. And I liked the small freezer space too so that I could put my ice blocks in it and keep them frozen for my ice chest for when we left. The beach was very close and the ocean view was beautiful. The only thing that was difficult for me was the light coming in the upper windows. I live in the woods where it is absolutely dark at night, so the light made it difficult to fall asleep. But I suppose people from the city are used to lights all night long.
