I found Bob's online as I was planning a trip to Santa Cruz with my grandson. Made phone reservations, talked with James, very polite and helpful... Place was well maintained and as a grandma who was camping with 9 year old grandson felt safe... Even left all of f our things there when we went to the boardwalk... There is... More

James the host was very honest. The camping are was very rough. We drove in paid for three days. We were uncomfortable with the set up and accommodations. James was honest and gave back all of the money as we chose not to stay. Thanks for that! It does have great mountain bike riding and a Costco all within a... More

To truly appreciate Bob's Pine Grove Campground, you must first understand exactly what it is. Bob's is an oasis in the smack dab middle of Santa Cruz. It is not a state park or national forest campground out in the middle of nowhere. As a traveling mountain biker who runs a guide service and destination in Pisgah Forest NC this... More

James the host was super friendly, and helpful. Sites were shaded and clean. Nice clean shower and toliets. Fair price! Highly recommend staying here. Family friendly, close to downtown boardwalk and beach. We actually extended our stay we liked it so much.

It's a little unorthodox when you first pull in, you're basically camping in Bob and Jean's backyard but it's roughly 10 acres and wooded. Some of the reviews we read made us nervous, but Bob and Jean and their niece couldn't have been nicer!! The tents are no closer then any other campsite, bathroom is well lighted and very clean!... This place was so scary that my wife and I left and camped in a church parking lot AFTER we paid the guy $30. He was so creepy that I didn't even want to ask him for a refund. He didn't let me see or pick a site unless I paid beforehand. He knew that if I saw the sites... More

It is someone's back yard that has camp spots. It is run down and the "staff" are rough old racist men. There are multiple campers on the property of camp "hosts" that look like they belong in the junk yard. If you are in the mood for suburban camping and to worry about disappearing this is the place for you!

We called ahead of time to reserve a spot and the service we received over the phone was professional. However, when we arrived we were surprised to find out that the “campsite” is actually someone’s backyard with spots marked by trashcans spray-painted with numbers. Also the small hut with a sign that read bathroom was caved in. The entire area... More

We stayed in this campground because everywhere else in the area accepting tents was full. The campground is quite average, the sites are not well delimited and the pines drop sap everywhere. The picnic table was covered in sap and we end up with sap all over our bags, clothes,... There is only one shower (coins operated) and two averages... More
