Simply divine. We checked in and were accommodated immediately by a lovely gentleman in the lobby. Our hotel room was beautiful, comfortable and well kept. Most importantly, we were able to walk to the beach about a block or so away multiple times a day. Overall, this place is quiet, cozy and luxurious. We will always stay here.
We love this place and have stayed a few times now over the years. We always want to stay in a well appointed and comfortable newer small boutique hotel and this is it in Santa Cruz. Most expensive area hotels have new facades covering well used tight little rooms... but these rooms feel more like your own master bedroom than a hotel. Ok we don’t have the heated bathroom floors...:). It is a little removed from the beach boardwalk but that is a good thing frankly. Ask for room 10 if you can...
As usual, this place is fantastic. Comfy bed, upstairs king suites have high ceilings and little kitchens so they're roomy. Beautifully appointed. Convenient, free parking. The guy at the desk is like a friend to us now because we've been to Bella Notte three times this year to see our new little grandson who lives up in the mountains above Santa Cruz. The inn is off the beaten path and close to Capitola. We enjoy the wharf and village there.
This was my favorite hotel on our PCH trip (we stayed 7 different places). The service was amazing and it had a cozy feel while also being exceptionally clean and luxurious. We had room on first floor and it was quiet, AC worked perfectly, and room was huge! Heated bathroom floors were a first for me! It was so refreshing to have complementary snacks, drinks and parking when many other places we stayed charged extra for everything. I wish I could remember the name of the man in the office but he was so nice and helped get us towels for the beach, directions to the beach and restaurants, and always went above and beyond to help us. Would recommend 100% and would absolutely come back here if I find myself in Santa Cruz again. Just lovely.
We stayed in room 8 for one night. Our room was clean, very quiet, and more than large enough for our needs. We enjoyed free parking, free soft drinks and milk from the office refrigerator, a heated bathroom floor, microwave, refrigerator, and sink, and quite lovely furnishings, including a chandelier and a fireplace with realistic "flames" that aren't hot. The Inn doesn't provide breakfast but they do recommend a couple of breakfast places nearby. If you get take-out breakfast at the nearby Windmill, we recommend that you ask for a receipt. We didn’t, because there were people waiting behind us in the queue. We think we paid for a cup of coffee but didn't get it. The Next time we visit, we will book a table at the hugely popular Shadowbrook Restaurant ahead of time. We got a great night's sleep and kind of regretted that we had to leave early the next morning. We feel Bella Notte Inn is an excellent deal.…
Very nice little inn. It's really small, just a few rooms. It is located in a nice upscale neighborhood a couple of blocks from the beach. No breakfast was offered, but there was a good coffee shop nearby. The room was large. Old style decor, in good taste, high quality finishes and amenities. Fake fireplace helped heat up room at night quietly. We would stay there again.
It's on the wrong side of the river, not the boardwalk or downtown. Very well appointed rooms and good staff. We took room 4, 3 and 4 have soaking tubs an extra pleasure. No breakfast. Get in the car and drive 5 minutes to Linda's Seabreeze Cafe on Seabright Ave. This is a short walk to Lago I Como, a really good Italian restaurant.
Nice, small hotel with spacious rooms, heated marble floors, fridge/microwave/sink & my room had a great whirlpool bath. The quiet hours (9pm-8am) where EVERYTHING! Just what i needed for holiday vacation. Great place to stay and get solid rest, and the staff is very kind. Lots of restaurants nearby for great food, and beach within walking distance. Give em a try!!
We stayed at Bella Notte a couple of weeks before Christmas. It rained a lot while we were there. The room was very cosy with a comfy bed. We were really nervous because our daughter-in-law who lives in the forest northeast of the area. was 9 months pregnant. We thought she might have the baby while we in Santa Cruz! So we had trouble sleeping. One night, at 4 am, we woke up and played a board game on the carpet in front of the fireplace. Wow, the carpet was so clean-smelling and thick. We felt very pampered. The man at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. We ate at the Shadowbrook Restaurant one night and it was beautiful and very good. They sent a vintage taxi to pick us up at the Inn. Since that time, our little grandson was born. Now we are going to plan a trip up north to visit him.…
What a lovely hotel! Having grown up in Santa Cruz, other hotels more readily came to mind. So glad we booked here for an overnight leading up to Thanksgiving. Our room (room 10) was upstairs with high ceilings, a fireplace, warmed floors in the bathroom and just a great overall feel. Amenities in the room included a refrigerator, bottled water, a package of roasted nuts and a coffee maker. In the office, you could get chocolates, coffee and sodas. We were warmly welcomed and completely enjoyed our short stay.
