Not too far from LA, and a heck of a lot less expensive. Rooms were tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. They had a good size refrigerator and a microwave, but no coffee pot. At 7 am, you could go to the office and get a cup along with a packaged danish. We had a downstairs room and could hear the... More

Close to Six Flags. You can tell the the onsite manager cares about his motel and the guests that stay in it. We had an issue with our room and he was quick to resolve it. The rooms are clean and up to date. The rooms closest to the road are a bit noisy so if you can request a... More

Older property but well managed. Some noise from railroad tracks. Mattress seems replaced recently. Wifi & 40" color tv in the room. No coffee maker, but frig, freezer and microwave in the room! Nice place, I shall return. No breakfast served.

Old style horseshoe shaped motel. Stayed overnight just to get out of LA and continuing to SF. Blinds don't keep out light. Beds are somewhat soft. Redecorated nicely but a bit sloppy. All floors are hard surfaced. Good space usage. Not a quiet place. Next to a four lane highway next to a railroad. Heard all of it at night.... More

Price is right. Nice decor. But, right next to a busy street. They need to update windows to make the rooms a little quieter. We can see daylight all the way around our door. Weather stripping might help soundproof too. No coffee in room. No breakfast. Great, secure wifi. No restaurants within walking distance.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently for a trip to Magic Mountain. The room was spacious, had a refrigerator and microwave, decent selection of TV channels and was clean. All staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful and the free wifi was very good (although I was only using it on my phone). The only downside is that it's... More

The rooms were nicely updated and clean, but no coffee pot. But we should have gotten a clue from the street name, Railroad Ave., it has traffic and trains. Very noisy with single pane windows. Plus people pressing their car locks at 1am.

We stayed in the two queen deluxe. The room was great. It was very clean with nice floors, the room wasn't made cheap. It had a nice paint scheme and nice tile. The shower was in the top 2 of all the motels I have ever visited. The water pressure was strong and lots of very hot water. There was... More

Clean room. Not far from Magic Mountain. Front desk helpful but not very personable. Location on Railroad Ave should have given away the nose from freight and contest trains - walls are paper thin. Could hear trains and neighbors on both sides (talking and using the bathrooms /plumbing) "free" WiFi password only allowed one device to log in. Didn't bother... More

Turned off by the high prices of the big chain accommodations, I sought a more value minded lodging. In the Santa Clarita - Valencia area the choices are few and the option is to be outside the location in Castaic to the north or Palmdale-Lancaster to the east. But then there is the 70's era Santa Clarita Motel on Railroad... More
