- Marwa M2 contributionsNot worth your moneyI stayed the hotel for four nights. The place is clean and the staff is friendly, but the hotel is old and it has no amenities. There is no room service or restaurant onsite. Your only food options that are in walking distance are an Indian restaurant (which is great btw), and IHOP. The sinks are outside of the bathroom and the rooms have a tacky kitschy design. You can hear every step outside of your room. The parking lot has zero security measures- no camera no nothing. My coworker had her car broken into and the hotel did nothing. On our side we have taken different measures, one of them was the increasing of the lightning, there are cameras outside that we share with ihop, we have signs around our parking lot, there is printed information on our Front desk to warn about this situation and we have our staff walking around the property and are instructed to report any suspicious activity. We will continue to do what is in our hands to prevent this to happen. We are very proud to know that our team of collaborators has managed to make your stay pleasant, to us your comments are very important because thanks to them we improve our service. I stayed there for the July 4th weekend with my family. Areas were clean and nice specially the hotel staff were truly accommodating and friendly. I recommend this place since is very centric and with multiple open places around the area.

The purpose of my visit was to watch a game at Levi Stadium. I stayed for one night in January 2020. I checked-in early evening and during that time I had a nice conversation with their front desk staff that concluded with exchanging smiles. The initial room I was given, room 342, was a disappointment. Both the TV and the heat exchange were inoperable. What was most worrisome was the front door not able to lock. When I contacted the front desk they recommended having their maintenance person look at the issues before making any moves to a new room. After a 10 minute visit from their maintenance person inspecting all the issues, who by the way was very kind, said to me, “I don’t understand why they gave you this room”, as he pointed to the door frame. “The door is out of alignment so it cannot be locked.” Needless to say I was assigned a new room immediately. A better room. Room 337. This hiccup was managed properly and I do give credit to the Avatar team for their actions. The hotel has its own parking spaces which is free-of-charge but at your own risk per the posted signs saying “at your own risk” - the parking lot has no security measures. It is true from other reviews that you can hear every step outside of your room. However, I didn't experience a lot of foot traffic and perhaps in part of staying during a slower time. Keep in mind this is classic motel-style accommodations. No amenities, no room service, only the adjacent IHOP restaurant. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are kitschy and no doubt outdated, Avatar makes it convenient to walk to Levi Stadium and indeed was fun walking with all the football fans. I like the Hotel staff. I had a comfortable sleep. The place is welcoming, clean and all the linens were of good quality. Will I return? I'm not sure. The experience overall was adequate.…

A pleasant surprise. Rooms were good size, clean, up to date, though the satellite TV service could use a few more channels. Desk personnel were always pleasant, and having IHOP connected to the hotel made for super easy mealtimes. With a vehicle, other restaurants, grocery and entertainment facilities close by.

From check in to checkout the overall experience at this location was fantastic. Best nights sleep I've had in awhile too! The iHop attached is super convenient for any meal. The staff is friendly as well. The hotel is very close to just about everything, including Levi Stadium and Great American Park. Food in the area is wide ranging and very good.

The staff were very nice, but I guess this is expected nowadays. The room had a small bathroom, showing its long at the tooth age. Although I wasn't looking for it, but in case you're wondering, it does not have rain shower head (despite claim being made on hotel's website)... Breakfast was not included (some travel websites show that it is unsure why). Yet the cost of stay was on par with high end hotels with much better amenities. I don't think being a part of World of Hyatt on its own justifies the high price of stay. On positive side, the parking was free. Will not stay again.

I didn't expect much from a hotel near a convention center but this was a very charming and unique boutique-esque hotel with incredibly welcoming staff and manager. Oh and there's free beer at the front desk.

I stayed at Avatar Hotel for a conference 4 years ago and thought it was really cute and it was a convenient mile walk to the convention center. I booked again for the same conference this year and unfortunately it got cancelled at the very last minute due to recommendations from the health department about coronavirus. I shortened my stay from 3 nights to one night and they refunded the two nights even though I had booked a non-refundable room. They were very helpful in an extremely frustrating situation for a lot of people!

Clean, nicely appointed, centrally located, warm reception from the staff. A thoughtful variety of reading material was in the room- what a nice surprise. One concern, however. My car was broken into while parked directly in front of the hotel entrance. Apparently this neighborhood has security concerns. Security cameras conspicuously mounted at the front entrance would deter such acts.
