I was looking for a bed & breakfast close by the Winchester Mystery House. And came by this little gem and was pleasantly pleased. I couldn't ask for a better B&B. The house is over 100 years old and it was just stunning. There's a pool & jacuzzi in the backyard. They also have a cool pizza oven that the...

This was an accidental find, and quite a good one. I was trying to book a hotel room for a reasonable price [hard to do in/around Santa Clara]. I was searching by high ratings and it scored well. This was the best part of a nice trip. The breakfast was absolutely-amazing! The service was thoughtful and nice. The room was...

We are so glad you accidentally found us! We love to prepare our delicious breakfasts for guests and are so glad when our guests enjoy the uniqueness (quirkiness) of our rooms and the home! We look forward to seeing you again next time you are around!

Tess and Ralph have created a lovely atmosphere for guests in this Victorian house. The rooms are on the small size, but they are elegantly decorated and there is a comfy parlor and lovely backyard with poolside sitting. The Madison Room worked well for us and we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts made for our dietary preferences. The Inn is a...

We had a split stay here. Our first two nights were in one of the smallest rooms, the Monroe room. The room was nice, but very cramped for two persons and luggage. In the bath, there was an old cast iron (porcelain coated) tub and a somewhat marginal "Euro" shower. The already high tub was on an elevated platform. It...

We enjoy hosting family of locals at the Inn and are happy they choose to stay here. It was a VERY warm week when these guests stayed here and I am sorry they had a restless nights sleep! It turned out the air conditioner just needed a clean out ( in a lower room and gardeners had blown lot of...

This is a lovely, lovely B&B in Santa Clara. It's about 10minutes from San Jose, either a $10 uber or short car ride. There is a pool and hot tub and the owners are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast every morning outside by the pool is top quality -- 5 star food and plentiful as well. Tess leaves out a bottle...

Lovely little place! Great hostess! Wonderful breakfast served on the outside patio. Excellent! Highly recommended. You need to book way ahead of time if you are coming for a SCU event (like a graduation). Totally worth doing so though!

This place is adorable and Tess and Ralph are amazing hosts. It sits on a quiet street not far from San Jose airport. It is also a short distance from Santana Row. Breakfast on both of the days we were here was delicious and Tess was more than happy to provide some great recommendations for dinner and even offered to...

I travel on business every other week to the bay area and have stayed at Madison St. Inn several times. The B&B is a lovely place to stay instead of a cold uninviting hotel. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are beautifully decorated and charming. I stay in the Fremont room which shares a bathroom with the room...

I recommend the Madison Inn as an alternative to the local motels, especially if you are looking for a friendlier and more intimate atmosphere. The proprietors are very welcoming and will go out of their way to make you feel pampered. I stayed in the Monroe Room, a sub-level room at the back of the main house. I stayed for...

My husband and I just got back from staying at this wonderful B & B for the super bowl. Tess and Ralph have a wonderful place and they are such helpful/friendly hosts. On top of helping us plan our time in the area surrounding the super bowl, they also put together a surprise birthday bbq for my husbands 50th that...
