Booked sight unseen and we are very pleased with our room, the friendly staff, the local knowledge & helpfulness of the gal at the front desk (carol?) and all the extra amenities that came with our very comfortable room are a pleasant surprise. Good location too. Thought noise might be an issue but it was just one rude, loud neighboring...

We made a last minute appearanc to the hotel. It is on a street a few blocks from the beach. My initial impression was it would be a bed only on a noisy street. The desk was great. We went to a room which had champagne in the refrigerator. The wine and cheese was a nice touch. Milk and cookies...

Our first impression when we checked in was the unfriendly front desk staff member, but the fresh cookies and milk in the lobby seemed to make up for that. However, the bed had crumbs or dirt in it when we pulled back the duvet, the bathroom was dirty, and 2 of the towels seemed either stained or used. The location...

The hotel is a short walk to the beach and to "downtown" Santa Barbara. The room was nice even though some of the furnishing seemed worn. A continental breakfast was included in the price. Because of the very tiny lobby (more like a waiting room), trays are provided so that you can take your breakfast back to your room. Wine,...

Stayed for two nights over weekend. This boutique hotel is within easy walking distance to the marina. A car is really needed to reach most eateries. The room included a continental breakfast and a wine and cheese evening offering that was well attended. There was also a complimentary bottle of champagne. The room was quiet even though the hotel is...

After travelling round for 2 weeks and staying in a number of corporate type hotels this was our best stay by far a real gem. Was the quietest room we had, immaculately maintained gardens and pool area. This little gem is worth a visit. Charming and friendly, with wonderful staff. We chatted with the front desk receptionist about our trip and she had many wonderful suggestions, especially the dining options.

Lavender Inn is such a pretty place. It is not a 5 star but it is close to the water, comfortable and quaint and the flowers outside are so pretty. They have a bottle of champagne and a sachet of lavender on your bed when you arrive. They have a nice continental breakfast and a happy hour daily.
