The hotel itself like all Holiday Inn's is comfortable, with frendly staff and nice rooms. Also the location is nice, as you're right to the shopping street where are also many nice restaurants and bars. The only inconvenient thing is their parkign solution. If you come in early you still will find a parking spot. But in the morning you'll...

Can't believe the value! We flew into the Santa Barbara airport which then was only a 10 min taxi to the hotel. Once there, we had no need to drive anywhere. The hotel was right on State St, which boasted a crazy amount of restaurants, retail and bars. We visited about four restaurants/bars nightly to try to see as much...

Upsides: The staff are really accommodating and friendly! The beds are clean and comfy, and the cleaning person was very friendly and attentive, and respectful. The breakfast provided was totally reasonable, yay yogurt and eggs! There are plenty of electrical outlets which is amazing! The location near the beach and state Street turned out to be pretty ideal. I had...

Although the hotel is a registered historical building the inside is modern and quite atteactive. The rooms new and clean. Also a great advantage of staying in this hotel is the fact that only a block away are numerous good restaurants for dinner. One complaint that I might have is that all over the hotel and the rooms a municipal...

For a Holiday Inn Express, this property has a ton of character due to its location in a historic Santa Barbara hotel. Rooms have been recently remodeled but still have some historic flair. Rooms are small like your typical European boutique hotel — so if you're looking for spacious, go elsewhere. But if you're just looking for a place to...

We stayed here only one night as we were passing through Santa Barbara. We checked in late since we were on the road from NorCal and much to our dismay, we found hair on two out of six of the pillows and on one of the bedsheets. Also, when we walked into the room, the smell of some type of...

A little pricy but not bad considering you are walking distance from so much. Comfy beds, clean rooms, attentive staff, nice breakfast (nothing fancy but nice). They are dog friendly for pets 50 pounds or less. Santa Barbara is a very dog friendly city. Personally, I would stay on the 3rd floor but the 2nd wasn't bad.

I just spent a week on business at the Holiday Inn Express in Santa Barbara. This is an old renovated hotel built in the early 1900's that used to be called the Hotel Virginia. The renovations were done pretty well, but it's still an old building. Pros: The location is awesome. It's right at the intersection of State and Haley...so...

This location is right off of State Street, which is great for shopping and eating. Older property, but Holiday Inn did a good job updating. Nice, quaint rooms and complimentary breakfast was great. Parking is a little challenging, you can tell real estate in SB is not cheap. Overall I would stay again and recommend to those staying in area.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is clean. Best part was the location, right off of State street next to many restaurants and bars and an easy walk to the beach. They have a convenient parking lot on the side of the hotel. I think it was $14, but worth the convenience
