What a charming place! Each room had different decor all with a European flair. The people at the desk were friendly. Happy hour with wine and cheese was fun. Met all sorts of people and had a ball. Would come back

This is a wonderful spot. The rooms have an individual charm. worth coming back. The owners are such friendly people and are very welcoming. Villa Rosa inn is what Visiting Santa Barbara is all about.

We rolled into town with no bookings on an unexpectedly busy weekend. The tourist bureau suggested the Villa Rosa and rang for us - lucky us we got the last room! As other reviewers have said, if you are after a cookie cutter modern chain hotel, this is not the place for you. But if, like us, you love quirky,... More

We recently stayed overnight at the Villa Rosa Inn in Santa Barbara. The place is fine, but aging and in need of some TLC. The shrubs and plantings are overgrown. The pool area is in a bit of disarray again, mostly due to the lack of maintenance. The rooms are average sized but the bathroom was really tiny and strange.... More

I stayed at the inn this past weekend and I couldn't have been more pleased. Let me start off by saying I'm someone who loves quirky offbeat places. This is not a bougie sleek modern resort, so if that's your style, stay elsewhere. With that said, I freaking loved it here. It's an old Spanish style villa packed with unique... More

Villa Rosa Inn is an historic building. It is quaint, lovely and a perfect place to spend one or several nights. It is located one block from the beach and 1/4 mile from Sterns Wharf. Shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance. The Inn is older and feels more like a residence than a hotel. It is clean and... More

We really enjoyed this hotel, it is very quaint and the staff are very friendly. Every evening at 5 PM there is a cheese and wine spread that is free for guests. We found this evening gathering of the guests made new friendships and for a very enjoyable stay. Our balcony was condemned, however we did not find this to... More

My husband & I stayed here touted as a B & B for one night on our way home from our son's wedding to have some couples time. The overall structure was nice; almost like a private mansion transformed into a small hotel however it was much more like a hotel than a bed and breakfast. The TV in our... More

Stayed for I night last week. The room was clean, the staff very nice and the cocktail hour and breakfast was great. I felt like I was in a villa in Italy. I would come back for sure. The location was terrific.

Pros: A few steps to the beach, friendly, helpful staff, quaint, cozy, hot tub and pool a plus, free cocktail hour, free breakfast. Cons: few parking spaces, dated decor, no A/C but no biggie bec at night it was breezy. I think this is a fair and honest review. I got it for $139 since its late Sunday night. Overall,... More
