Hotel looks good and clean from the outside. The room itself is big with terrace. Furniture is abused, bathroom is old looks like camping style, the sink on bathroom was smelling and bathroom had no door to sleeping room. The price for the room is a little to hight . For more then 170 dollar per night we would expect... More

We asked to be relocated to a room overlooking the grounds vs the street and were immediately moved. The staff were gracious and understanding. Our new room is great; spacious and nice. Because we did not want to leave the hotel we ate at the Crocodile, the hotel restaurant. The food was good (though the pizza was a tad on... More

I only stayed one night, but would come back again. The motel is older, but very clean and the grounds were wonderful. From the front it doesn't look like much, but the room was spacious and clean, and I had a patio that opened to the pool area. The patio was nice because it was surrounded by lush greenery and... A good hotel on state street but at the far end away from main tourist areas. Parking was great. Room was clean and had good air con. The Pool was very pleasant to return to at the end of the day. I would stay again.

The price was right for this place. We stayed one night here while heading up the coast. Had our two teen/tween kids with us, and wanted an affordable place just to spend the night. They have a restaurant on sight - not a place we wanted to go with the kids.

We were just passing through Santa Barbara and were looking for a reasonably priced option for the one night. Room was average-sized but very clean and tidy. Bathroom was nice too. Parking was the normal sort of motel situation and the staff answered all our questions in a timely fashion. Located maybe a mile away from the hustle and bustle... More

This trip to California, we stayed for 2 nights, then 3 nights on our return back down the coast. The ambiance is so peaceful and wonderful, with the gorgeous tropical plants, beautiful pool and great hot tub. The rooms are more than adequate (not fancy) but we aren't in the room very much! Love having our own patio area. Restaurant... More

My husband and I, together with our friend, stayed here in 2 rooms on 17 May. . We had booked one night, on our way to LA from Carmel. The two rooms we had were on the ground floor, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our rooms! Our room was modern and spacious, and being on the ground... More

We were 3 couples driving from SF to LA to board a cruise liner. Our stay in Monterey was disappointing, but this hotel made amends. Beautiful spacious modern rooms, good beds, nice reasonably priced restaurant, and wonderful landscaped gardens and pool area. Top value for money, even though it was Easter Sunday. Would have liked a better look around Santa... More
