We stayed at the Cheshire Cat for 2 nights over the Independence Day weekend and have to say its the best B&B I've ever stayed in. We had one of the least expensive rooms which was fine, the bed was comfy and bathroom although small was perfectly adequate, and I loved the Molton Brown toiletries. We arrived a bit early... More

This is not the five star experience that some previous reviewers claim. It is well located, a good looking property and a comfortable B&B. But it does not live up to expectations for properties at the higher end of the B&B price scale. The beds are okay but not great. The room service apparently does not extend to the bathrooms.... First and foremost I'd say this place is stunning, it's very warming and has a much more personal feel. We stayed there this past weekend to celebrate my birthday and attend the california wine festival... Little did I know it would also be an engagement celebration! My now fiancé proposed in the garden gazebo of the B&B. It couldn't have... More

The Coach House, which contains the Tweedledum and Tweedledee Suites, was built 25 years ago to expand the B & B. Our Tweedledee Suite was larger than what I was expecting - a welcome surprise. The attention to detail in the construction was exquisite and matched the main house perfectly. We think our suite must have been the quietest on... More

Everything was as advertised. We arrived very late at night and the self check in was simple; the innkeeper explained everything to me over the phone. There is a lovely garden and the inn actually owns the property next door and across the street. Breakfast was delicious as well!

Everything about this bed and breakfast was perfect! The staff are pleasant and very helpful. Connie made great suggestions for restaurants and sites to visit. The Cheshire Cat Room was a little dream. Comfortable and charming. I loved the window seat in the bay window! The room was immaculate and very clean. Breakfast selections were enough to start your day,... More

If you like to walk vs getting in and out of a car on vacation, this is the perfect location. You can walk to town and to many great places to eat as well as all the way to the harbor. Our room was cozy and clean and the outdoor area behind the main inn is a lovely place to... More

My husband and I just enjoyed 4 days of pure relaxation here. The location is perfect for walking to State St. (where most of the shopping and restaurants are located). It was clean, quiet and beautiful. The care and love of the Inn is evident everywhere. Suzanne gave us Great restaurants to dine at. Everything was Great!! We slept like... More

A very charming bed and breakfast that was secluded but still central. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Incredibly nice building and garden with a fantastic breakfast in the garden and friendly staff.

We booked several rooms for a group of friends attending a wedding in Santa Barbara. We were welcomed on arrival and shown around by Suzanne. The property couldn't have been more lovely with gardens where we gathered for the included breakfast and wine/appetizer hour. Our room was small but beautifully appointed, with a lovely bay window. Having been the person... More
