2 years in a row, our July week at FVC was my 12 year old son’s favorite trip of the year. The kayaking and surfing outings are our favorite. As my son gets older, he enjoys the extra freedom of spending time with peers and amazingly cool counselors instead of just parents but we do things together too. It’s a great vacation option. The location is very pretty and walking distance to beach and cliff walks. Bare bones but spacious suites - we prefer the clusters. We’re planning on year 3 this summer.

2019 was our 8th year going to the FVC. Our son age 13 still loves going every year. There are so many fun activities for the entire family to do. Our family has the added bonus of becoming wonderful friends with another family that comes the same week that we do. The staffers are great and the location can't be beat. If you are looking for a vacation the entire family will love you have found it with the FVC.

We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding and stopped by their new Visitor Center on State Street. We got very useful information from Greg regarding fun things to do in Santa Barbara. His passion, enthusiasm and knowledge of Santa Barbara was apparent and he added to what was to be just a brief stay. We wound up adding on another night and free day so we could take in and do Greg's insider recommendations. The new Visitor Center at State Street in the commercial corridor and two blocks from the beach is a must stop in Santa Barbara for the latest information and a very select choice of unique Santa Barbara goods.

This place is like being on a cruise, only on land. Everything is taken care of. You literally have no decisions to make, other than which activities you want to sign up for. The staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to accommodate any reasonable request -- and probably some unreasonable ones too. So relaxing! The clientele is mostly young families, but many bring three (or more!) generations, so we seniors do not feel left out. Now I understand while people refer to UCSB as "UC-Club Med" -- that's what it feels like!

We LOVE the FVC!!! We are back this year for the fourth time! Our children, ages 15 and 10, begged us to come back! Our kids love it (and so do we) and we are finding this visit as magical as our first seven years ago. There's something for all of us and it truly feels like a vacation ... plenty of time for all of us to play and rest and no need to cook or shop. Each of us is enjoying the activities and meeting new friends. When you come to the FVC, you are fully taken care of. I describe the experience as "a combination of Disney and Four Seasons-level service with the energy of cheerleading camp!" We are so happy to be back!!
