There’s so many things to say about this place. All positive from the grounds to the service. The bar was exquisite. Being a Santa Barbra native I never knew this place existed until I cruised by with friends. The bar tenders Maddie and Noel were amazing and provided the best service on top of info about the upcoming events in town. Can’t wait to come back

We love staying at Palihouse House SB! This was our second stay, and just as wonderful, as the first. The atmosphere, location, and very friendly staff, are consistently, wonderful. The front desk and restaurant, employees, , were all very kind, and went above and beyond to help us. We can't wait to return! Thank you, Palihouse!

This beautiful boutique hotel has sophistication but without being pretentious. The staff is warm and friendly. Food and drinks were delicious! Maddie, Summer, Madeline and Noelle spoiled us. This was my second time staying here but it won’t be my last.

Great location for walkers and solo travelers. Beautiful property, fun refurbish, quiet neighborhood. Staff is top notch attentive with a can-do attitude (thank you Chaundra) And Summer at the front desk had great, solid ideas for all my local questions. Loved that Handlebar Coffee and pastries was right around the corner. (They do have room service though) Glad I discovered the Palihouse and already looking into their Carmel locations, eager to stay again on my many adventures. Thanks Pali Society!

We loved our stay here. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room (deluxe king) was perfect with a nice patio. Housekeeping was excellent - never saw them but, even if we left for 30 min and turned the sign over on the door, we returned to a clean room. Grounds are lovely. Very nice to have a small cafe onsite and a bar. We loved using the complimentary bikes. Hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood within blocks of State Street with loads of restaurants, bars and stores.

Really friendly staff, as well as great amenities, comfortable room, great drinks at happy hour. We enjoyed our stay. We really appreciated the bikes to ride to the beach and the recommendations for dinner. Just wish it was warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool.

Discovered dog feces in the small patio of our room. The first day I opened the patio door and smelled something funky but since it was cold, just ignored it and did not go out until the next day. To our shock there were dog feces behind the small table between the two armchairs. This is a socking experience at a luxury hotel. After complaining, felt that the hotel did not take the situation as important. Probably because it is a dog friendly hotel.

The only reason this isn't a 1 star is because of Noelle, the bartender. She is a great asset to Palihouse and made our stay much better. (I've stayed in the SM location and it was great all around, this one? Not the same at all). There was no one there to greet us when we arrived, so she rushed over from the bar to greet us and ask if we'd been helped. She told us about the complimentary cocktail hour - even the person checking us in never told us about it, nor did they tell us about the complimentary bottle of champagne in the fridge. I had high hopes for this hotel as it's $850 a night and this was for our baby moon, and our first weekend without our 11 month old. I came to this hotel in my early 20s when it was a different hotel entirely. I like what they did with they decor, I love that it's "old school". It's charming. However they did a great job with the common areas, but the particular room we stayed in (no. 18) seemed like an afterthought. Simple things like updating the light switch faces would give an elevated, clean look, even if you are going for "retro". The pictures, some of them not even on design with the retro theme, don't match or flow at all. The fridge is in a rather bizarre spot. Upon arriving in our room, I went to take a shower. The body wash was completely empty which I didn't figure out til I was already in the shower, soaking wet. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they never even apologized, (odd) they just said they'd get it taken care of. I feel like people fail to put themselves in your shoes anymore in customer service. The proper response would have been something like "I'm so sorry about that, that's not cool! I totally understand how that would be annoying... I have a mini bottle right here for the time being, are we able to go fill the bottle now?" The AC didn't work much of our trip, which made those mornings for sleeping in (which we DESPERATELY needed) not really very comfortable or possible. Again, when this was mentioned to the front desk, there was no sympathy or apology for the inconvenience. The food: So kind of odd that they don't leave a menu in the room for food from the bar. You have to listen to them tell it to you over the phone, or they physically bring a menu to your room. This doesn't seem well thought out in the least?? There should be a clear menu in the room with times and what's available. The website doesn't display the menu either, when you click it it's just blank. Amenities: Alright, hotels that are a fraction of the cost offer more shower amenities than Palihouse. I couldn't get q-tips to save my life. How are these not available at the front desk let alone the rooms?? Pretty basic. The toilet paper feels like it's from the dollar store. Again, the cost per night... I should be using 3 ply, heavy-duty, soft toilet paper. Overall, I wouldn't ever stay here again no recommend it. I would actually do the opposite (and already have) gone out of my way to recommend people NOT stay here on my youtube channel and word of mouth. I covered the entire weekend away in a vlog and found myself with way too many cons. Hopefully my critique will help management make some changes to make future guests more comfortable and cared for.

Near perfect in the perfect location in the center of Santa Barbara, walking distance to shops, restaurants, theaters and museums. I was greeted by the most friendly staff and taken to a most comfortable and attractive room with a working fireplace, a water kettle, as well as a coffee maker! Who could ask for anything more?

I stayed here for my wedding weekend, and as the bride, it was a truly relaxing and beautiful stay. The full staff, from Fabian at the Front Desk and Noel making the best espresso martini I've ever had, were all a joy to be around. This is the only place my husband and I would like to stay when we return to Santa Barbara.
