Located three blocks from the beach, six blocks from the famed Funk Zone and a beautiful hike down a trail to the harbor, Hideaway Santa Barbara is the newest boutique hotel offering in the city. Meticulously curated, and extensively renovated in 2019.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff, room, breakfast, location was fantastic even they serve champagne at the afternoon as complimentary. This was one of the best places I have been at and I will come back!

This place is clean, looks freshly renovated, and has cute decor. However there is absolutely no view and its not very close to the water. Our very expensive room was located all the way around the back of the building, with no way to get there except weaving our way thru a crowded parking garage, and then walking up 2 flights of stairs. We will not return to this property -- its just incredibly overpriced for what you get!!!!

I recently stayed here with my 2 daughters for a 3 day getaway and it was great! The room was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and so comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and just right for my 2 vegetarian companions. Of special note was the chef - she was passionate about her work, our accommodations and the Santa Barbara experience. We had to leave early one day for a ferry connection/kayaking and she made sure we had breakfast. The Hideaway Hotel made out Santa Barbara adventure memorable.

We had an amazing stay at the Hideaway. The rooms are very nice with beautiful decor. The breakfast does not offer a large selection of food, but is really tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to stay in a great location -- within a few blocks of downtown Santa Barbara (State Street, the Funk Zone). The vibe of the place is trendy and calm: great for couples, friends, or a solo traveler. Only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars is because the price is a little high for what it is; comparable hotels in the area appear to be going for a slightly better rate. PROS: - Perfect location: a short walk to State St. and the Funk Zone but not in the middle of the drag. - Nice room with a comfortable bed. - Free parking. CONS: - Price: approximately $500+ per night is a bit of a reach, given that the rooms are kind of small and the facility as a whole is a small bed & breakfast (9 rooms total) that doesn't seem to require much overhead. - Avoid Room #1 if possible: I didn't stay in it but it's literally in the check-in lobby by one of the guest entrance doors.
