Nothing fancy from the outside, but they welcome dogs and it's clean and updated on the inside. Very comfy bed. We had room 4 with a king and a kitchenette. We'll be back.

We booked a two bedroom suite and was just what we needed. A stones throw away from the beach, but a 15 - 20 minute walk to the main bit of Santa Barbara and so if you don't want to walk that far...! It was fine for us though and we took advantage of the 75 minutes free parking in...

Walking to the beach, very courteous staff, clean with kitchennette and swimming pool. Convinient store walking distance. Affordable. Tony is very friendly and accommodating. Our second time and we'll be back again next year.

We stayed in several places, similarly priced, over our week in Southern California, and this one probably ranked close to the bottom because of the beds. The room itself was just fine, and clean, with cute details and a nice TV. It was cute but basic, but I get the impression that that's what you get in Santa Barbara unless...

Checkin was easy, with parking right in front of the rooms. Small pool in front to lounge. Rooms where charming with a fireplace and even a tiny wine cooler. Tv, coffee maker, fridge and strong Wifi give one the needed gadgets to "survive". The room and bathroom with shower only, was clean and renovated nicely. Motel was located right across...

Booked Blue Sands at the last minute over a holiday weekend and needed a place that allowed pets. We were TOTALLY surprised at how cute the place is. Rooms are nice and VERY clean. Flat screen TV, small refrigerator, wine bottle cooler, fireplace, coffee maker, and minibar. Seems like the motel has been recently remodeled (bathrooms are bright and beautiful)!...

A friend and I booked this motel for one night but it was so nice that we've decided to extend our stay. First the staff is really good. We had a late check in at 11 pm and everything has been arranged so that we get the keys. Then, we get a better room for the same price for our...

This place came to our attention through an LA Times article on reasonably priced places to stay and eat in Santa Barbara. Didn't disappoint. By no means 5 stars, but plenty of charm, clean, and nice staff, too. Suggest you request (and spring for the few extra dollars) for Room 5. It's been nicely updated and refurbished and has the...

I have stayed at the Blue Sands two times for business and enjoy the fireplace, microwave, fridge and upgraded bathrooms. The staff is friendly and the hotel is quiet. The hotel is right next to an organic market and you can see the beach from the pool deck. I would recommend this hotel for famiies, individuals and they accept pets.

We stayed one night here and it was the best of our 6-night, whirlwind tour. It's behind a pricier hotel, so it's hidden and less expensive. We stayed in the 2 Bedroom and our bedroom had a fantastic ocean view, complete with beach breezes. Completely remodeled room, kitchenette, and fantastic shower - You will have a hard time finding a...
