This Bed and Breakfast is wonderful! The owner and staff are amazing. The Cottages are adorable with comfortable beds and the food unbelievable! Where else can you go for one price and have a homemade breakfast, happy hour complete with various wines and yummy snacks and then hot cider, tea and brownies at night? They were also more than happy... More

Mockingbird room had flat pillows (only 1 per person) and a hard bed. Not allergy friendly (lactose intolerant or egg allergy). Breakfast had very few choices. Would never stay again. The garden was overgrown and was were breakfast was eaten.

Stayed here in September 2015. The staff and owner were anything but helpful and in fact downright rude. We were made to feel like a burden if we even asked for ice. Please do not bring your dogs here. They are definitely not dog friendly. Your dogs will not be welcomed anywhere but your room. The main house is extremely... More

We stayed in the Mockingbird room. To begin with the check in time was limited so arriving late could be a problem. The free glass of wine, appies and brownies upon arrival was a nice touch. The place appeared to have an absentee owner or an owner that didn't care to much with hourly employees taking care of all or... More

Came here for a weekend getaway with my sweetheart. I always choose independent hotels and B&Bs whenever possible. The first night we were booked in one of the two rooms in the main house. I didn't realize this meant the room was directly off the kitchen and main entryway/living area. No privacy, so noisy, especially early in the AM as... More

Very comfortable bed and breakfast with a French twist. Nothing was to much trouble. We were warmly greeted with a generous selection of wines and cheeses. Breakfast was delicious, fresh home cooking went down a treat

Quaint, warm and welcoming. All of the special touches make this establishment much more than just a place to stay. Breakfast in the morning, wine and cheese at 5, and a snack before bed. Great staff. A standard hotel could never compare.

From the time you arrive you feel like you are interrupting them. The tour of your room is brief and non-helpful. The food is substandard , With little selection. It would seem as they are more concerned with cutting costs and providing quality food. They have a house cat that wanders freely throughout the property so if you're allergic to... More

Perfect spot to enjoy all of Santa Barbara, dining, shopping, galleries and the beach. We love to walk so this is the perfect place to enjoy the city with a non-tourist perspective. The Secret Garden is nestled in a sweet neighborhood and close in to the downtown with out being a noisy location. The breakfast quiche offering very yummy along... More

Enjoyed a lovely stay here. The setting of the rooms around the garden was beautiful and private. We were warming greeted on arrival and enjoyed a welcome glass of wine and lovely food as we met other guests in the garden. This was a lovely idea as we made new friends and felt right at home. Our room (Kingfisher) was... More
