Just a really sweet hotel in the center of town. I have absolutely no complaints except it could've used a hot tub. It's an older place but well maintained w lots of charm. The little touches like the complimentary food and drink are so great! The staff and managers are there to make sure your happy and satisfied and they...

Tucked into the historic section of Santa Barbara, this hotel retains its historic roots. Comfortable rooms and excellent food from the onsite restaurant. Within walking distance of downtown. Would return in a heartbeat.

Was on a road trip on my way to LA and decided to stop for a night in Santa Barbara - so glad I did. I really loved the Upham Hotel. It is only a couple blocks from the downtown area and great restaurants. They recommended several and the one I chose - Olio Y Limone, was fabulous. The next...

Although the Hotel is not nestled in the foothills of Santa Barbara, a blissful quality is still effective for a restful and relaxing opportunity to truly, "get away" and enjoy a little luxury. We stayed in the Penthouse of the Country House, located about a half block away from the main hotel. We were immediately greeted with genuine hospitality upon...

We just got home from 2 nights at the Upham. Wow! So beautiful and peaceful. We left relaxed and happy. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast and drinks outside. The kids loved the garden and the freedom to play outside. Breakfast was nice and we took full advantage of the happy hour and Oreos and cookies in the...

We had a lovely 2 nights away from the kids with my spouse at The Upham. We started in a quaint, yet small, cottage with a private patio out back and a reasonable rate--quiet, bucolic, and serene. When the front desk realized that the couples massage we had set up the next morning would not work in the room (too...

I stayed here for four nights while conducting performances of The Nutcracker. Everything was outstanding. I had a beautiful quiet cottage with a fireplace. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff we're charming and helpful. The breakfast service was always fresh and both bountiful and elegant too! Parking was very easy and the Internet was reliable and strong the...

Beautiful little hotel, very nice room and good location. The breakfast is average and the service could be a little more attentive. Parking space available for free - would go back and recommend but it could be perfect

We've stayed at the Upham twice in the last few months. We visit Santa Barbara frequently, and had passed it many times. It looked interesting to us. The pricing seemed a bit rich to us , but we decided to give it a try. It is a pleasant place to stay, but what you get does not justify the cost....
