I prepaid for my one night stay through the Hilton website with their advanced purchased rate just as I've done with Hilton dozens of times before and never had an issue... until now. Upon arrival at the hotel this past Sunday evening, I was informed that the manager had left a note that they hadn't received the money from Hilton and I would have to pay again if I wanted to be given a room. I said I already paid and I was not about to pay twice for the same room. They told me to call advance reservations and I said I've paid Hilton, if there was a glitch in them transmitting the money to you, that's your issue to work out with them. As a customer who already fully paid Hilton for the stay through their own website, I should not have to investigate why they didn't send you the money and try to figure out how to fix it. She called the manager on her phone and he repeated I'm not to be checked in unless I pay again. I asked if I could talk to the manager and was told she couldn't reach him on the regular phone, had to use her personal phone and I could not use it. I tried to show her my confirmation and then the charge on my credit card to show in fact that I had been charged for it. She couldn't have cared less. This is all happening at 10:00 p.m. after a tiring 6 hour drive down from San Jose. This employee who would not give her name was nasty, dismissive and rude. At no time did she ever say "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or "I realize this is frustrating". After telling her repeatedly that I already paid the full amount and I'm not about to pay them again nor is it my job to call advance reservations to find out why they hadn't sent over the money, she says you're not getting a room then and hands me a post it note with the number of advanced reservations and said you can call them if you want which I crumbled up and dropped on the desk. At which point she said "That's it" and ran behind a curtain into another room and hid there refusing to come out or speak with me further. A few minutes later some guy came out and I asked if he was the manager and he said he was the manager on duty and I asked to speak with him and he refused saying "I think you know why" and then proceeded to run behind the curtain into the other room himself. To add insult to injury, not only did they refuse me a room that I had fully paid for in advance and cancelled my reservation, they then proceeded to charge my card which apparently they had on file for the cost of the room AGAIN without my knowledge or consent. Isn't that fraud? While that charge has since been reversed, I am still due a refund for a room that I paid for and was denied. Never in 40 years of travelling the world have I been treated like this at any hotel from budget to luxury let alone at a Hilton where I have been an elite Hilton Honors member for 25 years. They could have easily said, we have your card on file, you're exhausted after a long drive, we'll check you in and sort it out in the morning with advance reservations but they didn't. They simply refused to check me in unless I agreed to pay again and after I refused and they cancelled my reservation, they charged me anyway. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Hilton and Doubletree brands and clearly now looking at the other reviews over the past two years, this is the standard treatment everyone receives there. How has Hilton not already pulled their franchise?

Very convenient to Orange County Airport. Rooms are nice but getting dated and will need a refresh soon. Car park was full when we arrived but staff were he,Paul in letting us park in the drop off area. Bit expensive for what it was but not too bad for a short visit.

This hotel advertises that they have a shuttle to the airport which they don’t. I had to arrange my own transportation and pay for it, and they refused to reimburse me. They had ordered a lift vehicle for me, but it wasn’t going to arrive or even tell me when it could take me for at least 20 minutes and I would’ve missed my plane. Customer service is terrible especially manager Adam. Will never stay again.

We stayed 2 in Doubletree by Hilton October 21 to October 24 we occupied 2 rooms. We had the worst inhumane experienced and we felt that we are not safe the last night of our stay. First, you know that you're having a renovations and you still accepting guests not just minor but major one, we did not have water one of the basic necessities specially we have kids, we can't even do personal business and clean ourselves so inhumane. The next is our safety no water in the building means if fire happens no sprinkler is working and we felt unsafe the whole night. We're here for a vacation but the whole time we felt unsafe and did not enjoy or relax in our stay. That's why so unacceptable that you're still open and accepting guest just for money but not considering the safety of people and your employees. Because of sanitary issues our bathroom was so messy, we tried to use the lobby bathroom but it was locked and they said we can't use it. If you know that there's water interruption you should transfer us in different hotel. The second issue is when you know that there's construction going on but placing us the next door of the construction room that they renovate was unacceptable because the loud sound bothers the kids and they can't sleep properly because of the noise and it's very early everyday. We demand that we should never pay in our stay in your hotel for inconvenience and the trauma we experienced the headaches and sleeplessness that your hotel cause us. The company should even compensate us. The proper authorities should know this situations so nobody will experience this inhumane experienced. We suffer a lot it felt like nightmare. Do the the right thing!

I am a Diamond Member. Stay as far away from this property as you can. Adam the Manager is extremely rude and money hungry. He only cares about making money! He is very rude and inconsiderate. The property is under construction, it looks awful and the laundry machines don’t work. This is the worst Hilton Property in this area. Stay away!!!!

I am a Diamond Hilton Honors member. Stay in Hilton properties every week. This is by far the worst property in the western half of the US!! Adam(Manager) is non responsive to issues. Front desk staff is rude at best. $22/day to park. No coffee until 6:30PDT. Then it’s 6.50 a cup. Adam says this is the brand standard. Motel 6 has free coffee!! Some brand!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The hotel will be more attractive after the construction is finished. Nice lake if you could get a room w/ view. Cookies were delicious. But we couldn't sleep much due to next door noise. Had to inform the staff twice at 2 $ 4 am. Parking is $22, and no BF even for Silver Honor guests.

Was not advised when booking that renovations were being done. Constant parade of workers pushing carts of materials and Sheetrock. Cold water one morning, and numerous calls to Adam the manager were not returned.

Hotel manager disrespected my service dog and myself for having a disability. Hotel had no parking and was charged $22 a day to park at Walmart! Construction equipment everywhere No coffee waiting for u downstairs Breakfast had 1 person working and couldn’t even get coffee. I wasted 200,000 points on this place! Diamond members are not welcome!

Rude staff to start. We walked in we’re greeted with “we have a meeting and will be with you in 20 min.. “ when staff finally came back it took all of 5 min the check in. Room is newly renovated and filled with dry wall dust. Makes my eyes and nose itch horribly. Air vents are coated in dry wall dust as is the furniture when you get off the elevator. If I could cancel I would have. People in fro t of us were leaving and offered us their room Because they weee so dissatisfied. For $185+a night we got screwed. Can’t get our money back. Carpet walking to hallway was uneven and we all tripped/ almost fell including the teens. They should not be putting guests next to rooms with active construction. They should close the entire floor. Don’t come!! Save you.$$
