Not quite a 2 (poor) but barely a 3 (average). The property has the potential to be a great place, it just needs some TLC. The room was good sized but the air was stale. There is a full size screen door but the screen had a large hole in it. When I tried to open it and let some...

This "Quality Inn" has nothing to do with quality and comfort, and should be called "Discomfort Inn". I never had a hotel experience this poor. It started with a lady, whose name tag says "Patricia" overcharging me for the stay. $ 3 - not a big deal, but the post-tax bill I got online was less, and I was wondering....

After reading the reviews I was prepared for the worst. It was clean, large, view of the ocean. It's overpriced but it was last minute. It is a fantastic location. The breakfast was adequate. Just the basics. I

Quite dated, not super clean, just okay. Big room, big bathroom with a jacuzzi tub which didn't work (according to Ken, at the desk). We used the shower only, which was fine. The room smelled a little odd, not horrible, just strange. Definitely a good location for visiting Hearst Castle. Breakfast room was tiny, seating maybe 20 people, and was...

My Mom always said ... "If you can't say something nice ...." but, in this case, I will make an exception. This hotel was a "choose from the road" choice and we chose it because it was right on the ocean and it was a "Quality Inn" - so, it had to be good, right? Well, it was OK but...

We arrived after dark at about 9:30 at night. The restaurant in the hotel (strangely a seafood and steak restaurant in a budget hotel) closed at 9 but stayed open later for us and other travelers who arrived late. Our hotel room was spacious and clean. The only problem we had was that the breakfast room was a little small...

Pros: Room: Extremely spacious room with balcony. All amenities such as mini-fridge, microwave, television are located in the room. The room was fantastic! Parking: Ample parking available. Location: Near the sea. Great breeze. No need for an air conditioner. Quiet location.

Towels were stained, the water in the shower had NO pressure, several of the TV stations were non-existent. The indoor pool smelled of too much chlorine & the smell filled the check-in area. We had to get the room keys reprogrammed on the second night. The air conditioner smelled funny. The alarm clock was broken.

Our room had mold and mildew around the base molding, the curtains, and the bathroom joints. the room was damp. By evening my sister was feeling sick. I stepped on the carpet and it was squishy, wet! We asked for a new room on the second floor. The clerk acted as though we were unreasonable and questioning what we saw and...

Like most other visitors, we utilised the Quality Inn for a stopover after Big Sur and before Hearst Castle. The hotel has an outdoor pool and whirlpool - nice! WiFi available. Our rooms were spacious and had a small patio but they need a renovation. Certain local birds consider the Quality Inn their home which is o.k. but the building...
