We stayed upstairs in the corner room which has a large window view of the ocean across the street. No street noise from Highway One at all. Clean and comfy room and great A/C. No breakfast here just coffee and creamers. They offer a breakfast at the Big Sur restaurant out front for $8.00. Look across street and you will...

Non-existant wifi in rooms and the staff didn't care. Room big and comfortable enough. Slightly weird layout of bathroom - the sinks are in the main room. Bit noisy. Good location for visiting Hearst castle.

The Courtesy Inn is a terrific place to stay. You can walk right to the beach and there is a convenient store right next door. The wifi signal can be picked up anywhere on the property, which is necessary because there is no cell phone signal until you get to the street corner. The pool is nice (quite warm if...

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our self drive holiday of California, the receptionist was disinterested during check in, the room was very big but really dated, there were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and a cracked sink. the room was clean. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.

After a day driving the Big Sur this is a great stopover hotel. Big rooms, with a very comfortable bed. Indoor pool and hot tub. In San Simeon there are only a couple of small grills to eat in. The one that the hotel recommended next door was very busy, over priced with poor service. We drove 5 minutes south...

My stay at Courtesy Inn didn't start well. I had to move to a different room as mine had one of its beds broken and the bathroom door would not shut. However, after that -- other than a sink that was slow to drain -- all went perfect at this budget motel. A fairly spacious room, soft beds; and a...

Cheaper style motel; reception staff was not very friendly, and did not give us the required information. E.g. they told us they work together with a place nearby for breakfast, and explained what we could get for 7.50 $. But forgot to tell us we had to buy vouchers at the hotel reception desk before going there. I had to...

This hotel is old and worn down. The rooms are not well kept and the grounds are dirty. I paid over $300.00 for the family suite. I feel that this room was worth about $150.00. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub quite a bit. It wasn't busy so it was nice. I only stayed here because we booked last...

We stayed here because it was close to Hearst Castle. The location is good but the property is in need of refurbishment ,particularly the over bath shower which must have been designed for people of very short stature! Overall it served a purpose but we wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
