Awesome price, but can find similar in this area. Nice big, newer style rooms. But too sparse in some areas. Examples- No shelves in bathroom for toiletries, no AC (ceiling fan), and no hangers, ironing board or iron. Very thin floors, could hear everything from above, including walking, tv and talking. TV had many channels that ddnt come in. Nice front desk person. No beach view, is on east side of 101. Beach walking distance across 101. Could get loud on bottom floor. No elevators..But handicap showers etc bottom floor. Accommodated our rqst for bottom floor, with rooms next to each other.
The hotel was wonderful as usual. We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are an added bonus. Our grandkids had a blast. Will definitely stay here again!
I stayed at this hotel with a friend and we loved the room and balcony. The balcony overlooks a grassy area that was picnic tables and chairs for guests. It’s close to restaurants and bars. The room was clean and well maintained. We had a mini fridge and microwave which was very convenient. There is a mini mart in walking distance that had snacks and drinks. The hotel has a pool and jacuzzi that appeared clean. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we’re in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean. The Jacuzzi was very relaxing. It was nice that it was indoors. They have a cool rooftop deck. There is a nice open lawn area that was very inviting. The room was very spacious and well accommodated. It had a fridge raider and microwave. Each bed had three pillows which was nice. The tile in the bathroom was very clean and updated. They had solar panels on the roof and that made me feel good. Just a very pleasant place to stay. My only recommendation would be to have games available such as cornhole or large Jenga that you could get from the front office to play out in the open lawn space. And maybe some more outdoor lounging areas for the lawn. Overall it was a fabulous stay!
I like staying here because I travel a lot for work and the staff is always kind and the rooms actually reasonable for this area!. I love that the rooms actually have a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Many of the rooms don't anymore. Thanks again Silver Surfer!!
Here for our 5 year anniversary in a sentimentally significant location. First of all, the heater was broken and someone had some come fix it as soon as we got here. It clanks unexpectedly and constantly and hisses and it's overall a noisemaker so it's rarely used. We asked if we could change rooms, they said it'd be ~$100 extra charge. The ceiling fan is also a noisemaker and can't rly be peacefully used. The fridge literally never stops making noises. It's probably the loudest thing in the room aside from the people across the street that party with their loud music all day and night. There's no security latch which feels super unsafe and insecure, especially for a young woman. There's questionable splatter on the heater itself that looks like blood. I found myself covered in multiple bugs more than once. Also found bugs on the wall and the bed. You can hear everything next door and you can hear stampedes of footsteps from above. The toilet barely works. You can hear everyone else's toilets, too. No overhead lighting for the hall/closet area either, which makes finding things in your luggage very difficult. The wifi also doesn't work 95% of the time. Tried to leave early and be refunded for the night I'm not staying, and was told it wasn't possible. After all this?? That sounds outrageous to me. They're lucky it was just that night I was wanting refunded, and not the whole stay. Travelers beware, find someplace better. Which won't be difficult, because anywhere is better than here.…
This place was exactly what we expected. Great location across from the beach. Within walking distance of restaurants. Perfect pit stop for a drive up the California coast. We would stay here again if in the area.
This was a terrific value! The room was clean and comfortable, the large outdoor courtyard with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs was a great place to picnic and hang out, and best of all there's a heated indoor pool and spa for some hydrotherapy, which you rarely see in such an inexpensive place. An old stone fountain gives the place character and atmosphere. The location is great for seeing the nearby beaches, elephant seals, and Hearst Castle. Highly recommend!
I booked with this motel for a weekend getaway. My husband and I were very surprised and pleased with this motel and room. The motel may not be one of the expensive and elaborate one here in San Simeon, but it was great. The room was spacious, decor was very updated and cute, parking right in front of the room. And the desk clerk was very nice. The bathroom had hand soap, hand lotion, body gel, and condition shampoo on the wall. That was a plus for me. I read a review that stated they only had a thin blanket on the bed. I brought me a throw just in case. And the bed had a sheet, comforter, and another top sheet. Plenty to keep me warm. Plenty of pillows as well. The only downfall for me, and it was just a downfall for me, my husband was good with it, but the bed was a tad bit too firm for me. I woke up with a very stiff back. But other than the bed being a little bit too hard for me, we had no complaints and will be visiting the motel again. …
The rooms are small and dated. However, everything was in good condition and the room was clean. The dresser unit was a tad worn but again it was functional and clean. The staff was minimal, which is understandable as there very guests in San Simon during mid-week this time of year. The result was a very nice stay that was restful. Had the facility been full I may have had a different experience.
