This is an older but reasonably well-kept hotel close to the Hearst Castle. We had a large corner room on the second floor with a king bed, gas fireplace, and a partial ocean view. Some of the furnishing was older & funky, however the bed & pillows were most comfortable. There is no air-conditioning, but we enjoyed two blissfully quiet...

Sweet afternoon drive from LA. Arrived early enuff for entry into several state owned ocean front parks and sunset advantage. The "Ol swimming pool" was right out of the 1950s, but well maintained. Our room for 3 adults was pleasant, clean and with good beds, thus good Zzz-Zzz's. Ms Morgan's sketches and schemes for Mr. Hearst's home were present in...

We bought a deal from Living Social, then paid for the second night. The hotel is conveniently located close to Hearst Castle which was the purpose of our trip, a little Minimoon prior to our delayed honeymoon. Highlight of the trip was our day trip to Paso Robles w/The Wine Wrangler (see my review). They will pick you up at...

Upon checking in we were assigned a room in their "North Tower"....which is a 2 story rectangular building 2 doors down from the regular hotel. Believe they use this for tour customers. The air in the building was stale and dead and the building was totally quiet - too quiet. The room was ok but showed its age. After requesting...

After a day's driving down the Coast Highway, we had a delightful evening at the Morgan. The staff was welcomimg and pleasant. The room was spacious and well furnished. We went into Cambia for dinner at the Main Street Grill (also a pleasant bargain) . The Morgan is perfect for getting an early start for a day at Hearst Castle.

San Simeon and Cambria are not very exciting towns, so don't expect luxury or high-end anything while there. The Morgan Hotel, however, is the nicest, most clean and most classy hotel you can find. The architect was Jill Morgan, the same architect that worked on Hearst Castle, so the rooms are very charming and classy. Make sure to note that...

Our weekend getaway at your Hotel was just what my wife and I needed. We drove Cambria and looked at the other Hotels we thought about staying at, and we were extremely pleased that we chose The Morgan. We will come back. PS: Cambria is a waste of time, plenty of other great beaches and towns to visit.

We stayed at The Morgan on 2/26/2012, we chose it because it was closest to Hearst Castle which we were were taking our friends to for the first time. Everyone from the GM to the front desk agent was attentive to our every request and also recommended a wonderful place to eat across the road at The Manta Rey Restaurant...
