We stayed two nights here for a family wedding. Every interaction with the hotel up to arriving was horrible. They rarely answer the phone, calls always goes to vm and messages were rarely returned. After finally making a reservation months before the wedding I thought I was done with this hotel for a while. Well, a month before the wedding... More

While we have not stayed here, we make it a point to stop when we are driving on the 1. Not only are the views spectacular of the coastline but they have great food too. We have not dined at the restaurant there but there is an outside counter that is a great choice for lunch. Reasonable prices and the... More

My friend and I really wanted to stay in Big Sur but most of the hotels were ridiculously expensive. This inn was a great find and didn't break the bank. The views were outstanding and after driving through Big Sur and seeing the rest of the hotel options, I'd honestly say the views were better at Ragged Point than at... More

Had an amazing view from our lodge. Even our bedroom had windows on both sides so we could see out to the ocean through another window! The grounds are beautiful and full of flowers. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the food and the service was good. The Wifi did suck but it's not what we were here for... More

We did not stay here, but only made a pit-stop on our Route 1 drive. Two Limey tourists (us) were having difficulty using the public phone, and the girl in the store came to rescue us and offered to let us use her phone (for free). We were so touched, we had to let you know.

Only reason this wasn't 5 rated was the wifi or lack thereof The location and views cannot be beaten, the rooms are clean and spacious and excellent value. The breakfast was great and the welcome excellent, it's a great stopover hotel after the drive down through big sur

We spent our anniversary at the Ragged Point Inn and it was totally worth the drive and price. We drove up from SoCal where temperature was topping triple digits over a mid-August weekend. When we arrived at Ragged Point Inn, the area was covered in marine layer, very chilly, approximately 55-60 degrees. What a difference in temperature! The fog covered,... More

Ragged Point will be a touchstone for our trips down the coast. The resort is beautifully positioned on cliffs above the ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the bar because se were not so hungry and we wanted to watch the Olympics. We will be back.

My husband and I stayed at the Ragged Point Inn for two nights for a wedding, and we were not impressed with our stay. Beginning with the reservation policy, we booked two rooms before the rooms were blocked for the wedding, and our reservation emails explicitly stated that the rooms could be cancelled three days before arrival. When we tried... More

We stayed a night here while on Big Sur road trip. The place gave me a feeling of being at camp. In a good way! The views are beautiful. We hiked down to the water, which we all loved. The room was clean, I would definitely stay here again.
