Located on the best spot on the coast this hotel offers spacious rooms with whirlpool and fireplace as well as a balcony or garden with ocean view. This is a lovely, quiet place, wifi will hardly work and mobile have hardly any reception here, it is you, the ocean, your company, the great restaurant, the blooming garden with butterflies and... My wife and I just came back from an excellent three night stay at the Ragged Point Inn. This is not the kind of place I would suggest for families or those that need a lot high energy stimulation, but for a restful romantic getaway it was great. The inn is about 25 miles north of the small town of... More

What a pleasant surprise this place was! Heading south, the first thing you see is the gas station, convenience store and small restaurant. Then the multi-building two-story motel. However, once you are out of the car and checked in you see how much more there is. The site is a breathtaking piece of land high above the Pacific. There are... More

Stayed here one night on way to Santa Barbara from San Fran. Wish we had kept driving for a bit more. The view is OK but the place is tired and very 80's I would guess. Track down to coast is probably dangerous for most. Coffee in the morning was undrinkable. Would not stay again.

We booked an upstairs cliff side room and were not disappointed. The views are amazing and the grounds are beautiful. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We ate a late lunch at the restaurant and thought the food (burger and salad) was good. The only negative was our waitress wasn't very pleasant. We received a... More

This place came highly recommended for the view so we booked the cliff side room. Unfortunately, and of no fault of the hotel, the entire coast was fogged in for two days. We reserved a room for ourselves a month ago and later added a room for a travelling companion. Upon check-in we found out that the hotel charged our... More

The Ragged Point Inn is built of wood in a style to fit its surroundings. The gardens around it are beautiful and attract many hummingbirds and butterflies. The viewpoint from the cliff at the edge of the property is stunning and even has a challenging hike down to the beach below. We gave an overall rating of 3 though because... More

We booked this hotel because of its position on the top of a cliff for the views . Unfortunately the fog came and we couldn't see a thing,. The rooms were very nice with big French dors opening on to the cliff top. Our room had new carpets and beds which were comfortable. We had an issue with ants in... More

It was so nice to return to this delightful spot at a different time of year, getting another perspective of the lovely gardens. We had never seen so many humming birds together. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well serviced, housekeeping very good indeed. We are not young or fit enough to go down the path to the coast,... More

We arrived and had some problems with our room. Cindy took the time to resolve the issues and we stayed in Unit #38. Beautiful view, clever cabinet work to provide areas to put our things and a very nice fireplace and balcony over the cliff. The staff was very accommodating and the drip coffee tasted like espresso! Traveling from Florida,... More
