It was so nice to return to this delightful spot at a different time of year, getting another perspective of the lovely gardens. We had never seen so many humming birds together. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well serviced, housekeeping very good indeed. We are not young or fit enough to go down the path to the coast,... More

We arrived and had some problems with our room. Cindy took the time to resolve the issues and we stayed in Unit #38. Beautiful view, clever cabinet work to provide areas to put our things and a very nice fireplace and balcony over the cliff. The staff was very accommodating and the drip coffee tasted like espresso! Traveling from Florida,... More

Husband and I decided to take a road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. No definite plans and no reservations. Was fortunate enough that when I went online to find a place to stay for the night I picked the Ragged Point Inn. What a find. It is all by itself, with nothing but spectacular scenery surrounding... Stayed here on our way to San Francisco. We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. The grounds are beautiful with amazing views! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely love to go back!

We were there for one Tuesday night. We spent an extra $80 to get the most premium room in the newer building with king sized bed, fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the room did have them. We had requested the second floor when making the reservations but we were given a... More

We stayed two nights here for a family wedding. Every interaction with the hotel up to arriving was horrible. They rarely answer the phone, calls always goes to vm and messages were rarely returned. After finally making a reservation months before the wedding I thought I was done with this hotel for a while. Well, a month before the wedding... More

While we have not stayed here, we make it a point to stop when we are driving on the 1. Not only are the views spectacular of the coastline but they have great food too. We have not dined at the restaurant there but there is an outside counter that is a great choice for lunch. Reasonable prices and the... More

My friend and I really wanted to stay in Big Sur but most of the hotels were ridiculously expensive. This inn was a great find and didn't break the bank. The views were outstanding and after driving through Big Sur and seeing the rest of the hotel options, I'd honestly say the views were better at Ragged Point than at... More

Had an amazing view from our lodge. Even our bedroom had windows on both sides so we could see out to the ocean through another window! The grounds are beautiful and full of flowers. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the food and the service was good. The Wifi did suck but it's not what we were here for... More

We did not stay here, but only made a pit-stop on our Route 1 drive. Two Limey tourists (us) were having difficulty using the public phone, and the girl in the store came to rescue us and offered to let us use her phone (for free). We were so touched, we had to let you know.
