We visited from the UK last month. The hotel is easy to find just off highway 101, and is walking distance from the centre of this attractive town. Our room was spacious and clean. The manager and front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were fortunate to stay here on a Thursday evening and enjoy the farmer's market and a brass band appropriately playing Beach Boy arrangements.
A nice hotel all around with very comfortable beds and simple breakfast provided. There is a large car park in the front with ample space and good lighting. No complaints at all. Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
Stayed with family on the way to Big Sur. Surprised by how nice this hotel was. Clean, updated rooms with comfortable beds and we really enjoyed the lighted hot tub in the garden pool area at night. Breakfast was good - eggs, sausage and pancake machine, yogurt etc. Get there early though as there’s lots of families with children there for Legoland
We needed this for one night as a stop over from LA to San Fran.. we were not expecting much, but it was nice. Rooms were well sized, reasonably well equipped. The pool is OK for a quick dip, but it gets very shaded by mid afternoon. Breakfast is not great. It is really well located for SLO, a wonderful town with lots of lovely bars and restaurants
Stay here, it’s clean , safe , close to downtown and college campus. Insomnia cookies and 7-11is close by open late for late night cookies! Comfortable room and quiet. Parking here is free and safe. Get rested before driving to your main destination!
dirty towels, something like shoe grease check out in the door card indicate 12:00 noon . however they ask us to leave at 11:00. they realize that the information in the door card was wrong. at the time we were almost ready son we had no problem with that. even so, they knock at the door and make call phones to the room, at least 5 times in 5 minutes, in a very rude mode. i don't recomend this hotel to anybody.
First visit to SLO and this motel was recommended by the local AVA group. We were so happy we stayed. The beds were super comfy, the room had plenty of space and the in-room coffee was great. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Quiet and peaceful and excellent service. Great location for the beach, great restaurants, shopping and nearby amenities. It definitively need some remodeling and upgrade of the common areas and rooms.
We stayed one night in Feb - ADA room 306 - on the way home. Good location, very close to downtown and restaurants. We were ok with the cleanliness and average room size. The room had a cute balcony with a small table and two chairs. Nice view. The bedroom needs at least one more chair for the second guest. One person sat on the desk chair, the other had to sit on the bed. We had to pull the chair from the balcony into the room to use. Same thing with the bathroom, missing a transfer chair. I had no place to sit except the toilet after the shower. We don't think the room was equipped adequately for ADA like other hotels. Breakfast of course was on the skimpy side - grab and go style. Basically, don't count on it. We had an early lunch since we practically had nothing filling for breakfast. …
Clean, comfortable room with a great mattress and good water pressure, just what we needed while visiting our Mustang at Cal Poly. The location is great and the room was clean and quiet. Basic packaged breakfast included with a bit for everyone, not great but a good way to start the day :)
