The stay in the Granada Hotel made our trip! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the staff is extremely helpful and cordial, and the bistro is a must visit during your stay. From the beautifully restored building and decorated rooms, the great breakfast in the terrace, the super exclusive bar, amazing food in the bistro, to the incredible location, this is one of my favorite hoteles in California. Do not doubt it! Another small but very important detail was the music, the terrace had music all day and each song matched the incredible and relaxing ambiance of the hotel.

I live in Santa Barbara and travel the backcountry wine route often up to SLO to enjoy the quaintness and incredible hospitality of the Granda Hotel and Bistro. The magical setting and furnishings are - fully appreciated it as a designer and former vacation homeowner host - it tops. The entire hotel is awesome. They have not missed a beat to fully cater to guests or to professional travelers. Each entity to the hotel leads you to the next magical room, hallway or staircase. All of this is rounded out by the incredible and friendly staff that are more than willing to offer up any kind of assistance that you may need. This includes the crew at the restaurant as well!

We booked this hotel on a whim, based on the location to some of the restaurants we were familiar with. The website described the hotel well. We arrived to the hotel a little later than we had planned. However, when we arrived, we were greeted with a free glass of wine, and asked if we were wanting to order dinner from their restaurant.

My family of 4 stayed at this hotel during our visit to SLO. What a nice, comfortable quaint hotel! I am so glad we chose to stay at the Granada Hotel and Bistro. They provided a unique experience that will forever be one of the highlights of our trip. The location of the hotel is perfect. We were able to walk to many places and easily drive to the fabulous wineries and beaches in the area. CalPoly was also a short drive away. We especially loved the patio that joined our two rooms. The hotel's complimentary continental breakfasts allowed us to have lazy mornings. I highly recommend. We can't wait to go back. And when we do, we will try dining at the Bistro. The food smelled amazing!

In a cozy side street in the heart of downtown SLO, this unique hotel treasure perfectly blends architecture, brilliant use of space, and comfort to provide among the best hotel experiences I've had in the world. Cleanliness 10/10, with very comfortable beds and furniture (chairs are not props, while beautiful). Rooms function much larger than the square footage would indicate due to impressive design (i.e. small but highly functional balcony and fire place). Every detail well designed with purpose. Friendly staff, easy to approach to access amenities (free bikes; in-bed delicious breakfast). Beautiful old-school architecture (brick, expose steel) all in perfect condition. The common areas are comfortable and have great views and atmospheres including an amazing deck with a fire place and food service.

Room Tip: Pay extra to get a room with a mini-balcony and fire place. Worth it.
