Everything about this hotel was awesome!!!. We were given an incredible glass of rosè and then given a very educated tour of the hotel. Brayden even was so sweet to even have our bottles of wine on ice for is so we could enjoy then when we returned. I will definitely be back to this hotel as its so quaint, and very inviting. I also love the location...right in the middle of downtown...everything is in walking distance. Thank you to Brayden and the team at the Granada hotel for making our stay amazing
This is a lovely hotel, in a good location, but our experience was ruined by the noisy hotel ventilation. Everyone on the reception desk knows that there is a problem with comments such as “yes it is noisy sometimes” but depending who you talk to depends on the reason why it’s noisy. Some saying it’s only one half of the building that has a problem, others saying it was the floor our room was on and another it’s only noisy in our room. All I know is that we had a broken night’s sleep when they turned the ventilation pump on at 6am!! Not good!!
The hotel is beautiful and very inviting. Almost more important, though, are the staff - they are amazing! We stayed just one night (we'll be back!) but were made to feel so at home and welcome by everyone. From Tati (sp?) to the lovely hostess at the restaurant, as well as the shop next door, everyone was so kind and so helpful. When we left we met up with a bunch of friends and told all of them that they have to go to SLO and stay at the Granada. Thank you for the lovely accommodations and the even better staff!
Stayed here overnight on a business trip. The Granada turned out to be charming and perfect. Quiet room, nice snack and bev offerings in the room at very fair prices, good breakfast with indoor or outdoor areas, great parking on the property, and one of the nicest bars you'll find anywhere for a nightcap. We usually stay at Pismo Beach, but next time we're going to take a day or two at the Granada in SLO itself and explore the record, book and even photography stores downtown.
This hotel is an absolute gem! Dripping in art and good taste, with high end touches, it was a treat to stay at the Granada Hotel. Everything from the bedding, towels, and even soaps and lotions made the stay luxurious. The staff lives up to the SLO reputation and were beyond helpful and responsive. We felt seen and cared for our whole stay. And can I mention the croissants with the continental breakfast...delicious! My boyfriend and I were doing a week trip down the California coast and stopped at some of the best hotels, The Ritz in Santa Barbara, The Huntley in Santa Monica, and Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach, and I have to say that Granada was my favorite.
We stayed two nights while visiting family in SLO. Such a beautiful place. The location was perfect to walk around and explore the downtown area. The rooms were incredibly clean with high end amenities. The breakfast pastries are worth coming back all by themselves. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We are at the Bistro and had an incredible meal with great service. We will most definitely be back.
I recently stayed for 4 days/3 nights at the Granada Hotel and Bistro in San Luis Obispo. This is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of the historic town of San Luis Obispo. My stay was wonderful. I was greeted by Braden when I checked in a he was very welcoming and helpful. All of the staff that I encountered here were the same - professional, friendly and helpful. My room was spacious with a fireplace which came in handy during the cool spring evenings. The amenities in the room were top notch. The decor had an attracive modern rustic vibe. It would have been nice to have a chest of drawers to put clothes away. But this is a minor matter. The bar at the Granada is really cool. The bartender shaves his own ice. A nice place to hang out after dinner. Also the croissants they served at breakfast were delicious! The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and historic sites in the city. This is definitely a great place to spend a weekend get away.…
From the moment we stepped on the property we were enveloped in warmth of modern and historic design blended with personal detailed service. At check in, Latke was delightful. Along with our beautiful 1920's style room key and chain, we were handed a glass of champagne, what a lovely touch! Our room was perfect, delivering comfort along with artistic style. The friendly manager, Braden, discovered that it was my wife's birthday and took extra care to add extra special touches to enhance our celebrating; a note and champagne on ice in the room, even birthday greetings from our lovely server at dinner, Jenny. Our cocktails and dinner were superb! Their attention to service and detail are to be commended; real candles, parlor games, water station, continental breakfast, bikes for guest use, and quiet hours honored (no hallway vacuuming, etc...) before check out time. The Granada Hotel/Bistro and its delightful staff delivered excellence on all levels. We will be back soon and often.…
We could not have loved Granada more. We loved the location and the history of the building and the renovation has been meticulously executed. The look, feel and overall ambiance is fantastic. Our room was superb and the amenities were top notch! The general manager, Braden, is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The breakfast was delicious and even the background music was on point, and now on our own play list. We traveled Highway 1 from San Fran to LA and this was by far our favorite stay of the week. Stay here if you get the chance!
I recently had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property. Every aspect of this property is first rate! Starting with the staff, every member I encountered were courteous, professional and friendly. The accommodations, from the irresistible snack selection to the furnishings and toiletries are very well appointed. The bistro and bar are also excellent as, shout out to that fried chicken sandwich and those fries! I’m looking forward to a return visit soon.
