I had a peaceful stay at the Posada de San Juan in October 2016. The staff was kind, helpful, and efficient. The hotel is being remodeled but they made my stay and the stay of others very comfortable. My room was clean and quiet. Another benefit was that we could walk to the downtown area for food and shopping.

This is a family-owned charmer that offers an abundance of authentic hospitality and personalized attention that ranks this place as a 5-Star gem, in our opinion. Mary greeted me at the front desk and quickly established a first-name relationship which continued throughout the weekend. Eddie, the General Manager, is earnest, efficient and ready to go the extra mile for guests....

We've been visiting this for a few years now. LOVE the non-chain atmosphere. The lobby and stairwell is delightful with its Craftmanship wood work. Think California Mission styling. Especially like the stairway and railings on the upper floors plus the atrium effect as well.. One can see the love the original builder put into this hotel. Yes the place was...

We visited the Posada with our Hiking Club. On the plus, the staff was friendly and the hotel is within a short walk to the Mission and fairly reasonably priced. The room was comfortable and clean. On the negative the ice machine was broken, the TV in the room very small and half of the channels were in Spanish. We...

The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to be helpful. We loved that it is a family business. It was built by them 24 years ago. We changed our room from the back of the hotel to the front due to the loud noise coming from a fan from another business. We were on the 1st floor...

Love the character of the Posada. Central to San Juan Bautista. Staff was helpful and friendly. The place was clean. However, the place definitely need an up date in their basics. There were plumbing issues, The internet did not work in half of the building.Breakfast (for what it was) was chaotic. Perhaps coffee and/or refrigerator in the room would help....

Category: Moderate boutique hotel. This is a charming, back street hotel that is easy to miss yet central to charming San Juan Batista. We were touring San Juan and the Mission, staying one evening. Being February, the town was mostly deserted. The hotel's outside is nondescript but the interior is old Spanish mission and very quiet. The receptionist was friendly....

I really enjoyed my stay at the Posada. It was a recommendation from a friend. I stayed there with 3 other friends. We stayed on the 2nd floor because these rooms offer balconies. These rooms also have gas fireplaces, and a wet bar (no in-room fridge), deep jacuzzi and dual shower heads. I didn't use the jacuzzi due to the...
