Went toSecco’s for a late evening snack and drink. Armando was our server and he was so nice, helpful and accommodating. The wine was delicious, beer was perfectly served and salad was amazing. We sat on the patio which was lovely and had a chill vibe.

Stayed here for one night to have a fun night out with my wife and friends. The location of the hotel is walking distance to a variety of dining and bars. Inside the hotel they have hand sanitizer stations at the main elevator due to covid. The restaurant was open but was limited due to covid. They also have a Peet's coffee inside but it was closed for covid. They have a self parking garage and it costs $30 or a valet option for $40. Overall, a great stay. The king room we had was clean and very nice with a good view of downtown.

We needed a place to stay for a couple of nights to watch the Sharks play their home opener, so we were looking for something within walking distance to the SAP Center. This hotel was reasonably priced, an 8-10 min walk to SAP and a 10-12 min walk to the San Pedro Market where the Sharks Fans meet to start the March to the Tank!!! Check in process was fast and while we did run into the problem of being checked into a room that was unclean initially, Roger at the front desk made it right quickly and moved us to a new room and compensated us for the trouble. The cleanliness after that was wonderful. I’m only giving this hotel 4 stars instead of 5 because of the proximity from the parking garage to the front desk. It’s a elevator ride up to an unused meeting space and around a corner and then down a couple of steps(ramp provided of course) then through glass doors and then through some curtained off construction(building a new commissary/essentials store front) and then down a narrow passage to the front desk. This walk took about 3-4 minutes, but the way was clear and clean and when they finish construction I’m sure it will be nice! Overall, we were happy with our stay and it was the perfect location for our needs!!

The San Jose Hilton can be a hit or a miss. When everything is operating correctly and the room you are given is up to standard, the stay is top notch. However, if something is off or not working properly, malfunctioning rooms/equipment, the overall stay takes a hit. I would stay there again, just make sure everything is in working order.

Stayed here a few days ago, then looked here at the reviews. My experience was totally fine, and many of the reviews here seem overly harsh.

Staff was friendly, room was huge, bathroom amenities were well-appointed, lobby area was lively, breakfast buffet was noticeably better than average.

Location was great if you are at a convention (it’s adjacent to the convention center) or in downtown San Jose for other reasons. Easy to walk to restaurants and shows, light rail and bike share and scooters are right outside.

Sure, 1 of 3 elevators was not working and on a busy holiday weekend this meant that there were some waits. The room decor was uninspired, but it was totally fine. This is a solid, totally fine, hotel.

The main draw for this hotel is its convenient location attached to the convention center. It isn’t luxurious at all though. I expected the beds to be more comfortable like other Hilton hotels and thought the interior would be nicer because of the price. But the hotel is basic and worn down, like an airport hotel. It’s dark and has odd retro decor. The room was sufficiently clean and comfortable for a business trip; nothing special.
The restaurant was small and nothing fancy, but had good food for a late dinner after travelling. The executive lounge is on the 18th floor. It is small, but good for grabbing a quick breakfast or beverage. Parking was convenient, especially with digital key access.
The location is close to theaters, museums, and restaurants. It is a good location for exploring downtown San Jose. Because of its proximity to everything you can hear a lot of noise, including planes.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights recently for her cheerleading competition. While the location of the hotel was very convenient since it's connected to the convention center, the service was lacking. The hotel would not allow us to check out one hour later because too many people had asked for a late checkout. We had to pay an extra $50 to check out at 2 p.m. though I only needed the room till 1 p.m. so I could get my daughter ready for her competition. One of the other cheer families across our room was able to get their room extended for an hour for free. Because the competition didn't end until past 8:30 p.m., we had to request to get our parking extended. That seems like something they should allow you automatically since you're already staying there the entire weekend and had paid for two nights of parking. Fortunately, we got our parking extended because we already paid the $50 late checkout fee, but another cheer parent had to pay an extra $37 to extend her parking till 8 p.m. while another parent was charged $25. Seems like the fees and conditions were all over the place and not consistent. In addition, the parking spots below the hotel are very tight! So if you have a big car, good luck finding a parking spot that fits. Many cars ended up taking two spaces, which made the situation worse for the rest of us. Another big problem is the slow elevators. Because you had to push which floor you were going on ahead of time, it seemed to make the elevator go slower. An ordinary elevator with buttons inside would've been better. Overall, the hotel was fine and location convenient, but the services could be better. Even when we arrived, we told the concierge we needed to bring our luggage upstairs first and would come back down to move our car to the garage. He was like ok, you have 5 minutes or else we're going to tow your car. Wow! I was traveling with just my 11-year old daughter and could not leave her alone with our luggage while I went to park the car. A little more understanding would've been nice. I hope this hotel improves its customer service in the future. Thanks!

I am a single mother who was traveling with a toddler and a 12 year old. When I arrived the bellhop walked right up to my car and started helping me unload my luggage. In fact he didn’t even want me to lift a finger. He was very friendly and helpful which was much appreciated. When I went to check in the gentleman at the front desk let me know that they had overbooked the type of room I had reserved but he made it right by comping my vallet parking and was very apologetic. I think the room we ended up with was better than what I had originally reserved. Room service was great! Very prompt and friendly service. Room was clean and quiet. Perfect location because everything is in walking distance . I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed on property for the SiliCon conference. No value there though as the facility doesn’t permit entrance from the hotel, forcing everyone to walk all the way around to the front door of the convention center. No biggie walking, but that means 4-5 other hotels would be a better selection than this recently remodeled - but still aging hotel. Restaurant is a temporary pop up that’s overpriced ($24 breakfast per person that’s free at a Hilton Garden Inn) while they renovate their existing space. Renovation has taken over most of their garage parking below as well. Of our two rooms, one experienced a sink that wouldn’t drain, even after 2 separate visits from engineering (because the drain pipe was loose and dumped sink contents all onto the floor). Great beds, TVs are new and the room renovations look good but are only surface improvements. Nobody answers phones there either when you do need something.

Dear dtandfamily2021, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of our hotel, we certainly appreciate the feedback! Our hotel has recently went through a rooms renovation so I am happy to hear you liked our rooms product especially with our amazing new beds and tv's. However, please accept my sincere apology for the phones not being answered in a timely manner and the issue you experienced with the sink not draining as this is certainly the exception and not the norm. Thank you again for the feedback and if your travels find your way back to the San Jose area we do hope that you allow us the opportunity to be your preferred choice hotel.

We got no sleep before the volleyball tournament because there were so many party goers in the hallway. I had to call guest services multiple times and it never seemed to do any good. At 2 am I stuck my head out the door and asked the partyers to be quiet. Someone threatened to shoot me with their glock but guest services didn't seem to care... they told me the only option was to move me and then couldn't guarantee that the new room wouldn't be as bad. There was no hot water at any point during our stay so our showers were freezing. The toilet wouldn't flush and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty... Room was stuffy and fridge didn't appear to be working well...overall terrible experience. No sleep and cold showers = a bad day at the tournament. We This is the first bad review I have ever written for a hotel.
