The hotel room was great, recently renovated, spacious, and super clean. The parking is a bit pricy ($30/day). The restaurant has limited availability during COVID. I got mixed messages of if I had a $10 credit towards breakfast products or products from the front desk. There's a very convenient laundry on the 3rd floor that was great as I'm a long-term traveler. What really ruins the experience is that the front desk people are mostly rude. There is one man during the day that was really helpful and attentive, aside from him, the others were incredibly unhelpful, tactless, and had no interest in resolving situations. I decided to cancel the last week of my stay and go somewhere else because of this. The bar lady and the cleaning personnel were great, the problem was the front desk.

I really enjoyed the San Jose Hilton. The rooms were really nice and very clean. It felt a little empty since it is connected to the convention center and at this time it is not open. The pool is also not available. We did have the breakfast included with our room which was a breakfast burrito and it was not that bad. As for amenities being closed just have to do with the times, we are in.

They questioned me if I was even a guest in the hotel when I asked them where the pool and fitness room were located. The gentleman behind the monitors was very rude when I asked him about the parking garage

This hotel was extremely disappointing, the staff seemed like they did not want to work there. No acknowledgement of diamond status or any upgrades. The rooms were dark and outdated. The shower, toilet, and bathroom floors were dirty. The bed was terrible as it seemed old and used and sunk in the middle. Also be advised that this hotels entrance from the parking garage is through a part of the convention center and the vibe getting to the hotel from the parking garage is somewhat of a zombie movie, super eerie. During my stay it seemed as if the hotel was repurposed for the homeless. As I was waiting for the elevator, a couple walked out with what looked to be a stolen bike (spray painted and heavily used/damaged) and a horrible smell. Honestly just avoid this hotel.

The hotel room itself was very enjoyable. Big issues I had were constantly getting shocked every time I opened my room door, at checkout the person was out to lunch and no one was available for check out. I was double charged for dinner, still has yet to be fixed. The walls are very thin. I could hear the person next door going to the bathroom at all hours of the night, for a “luxury hotel” there is not much privacy. I had other guest screaming and yelling in the hallway, trying to kick down doors. Asked for security to come up and no one showed.
