Great one nice day for a concert at SAP center. We called early in the morning and Roger at the front desk was able to move my friend so her room is next to me, he was also able to accommodate early check. I believe it was Raul, who helped us with getting our luggage up to our room when he saw we were struggling as we came into the lobby. Excellent service! Parking in the garage was easy, I just wish it wasn’t an additional cost considering the price of the hotel rooms. Teeny tiny parking spots however, so if you have a larger vehicle, I would not recommend it. Only downside was the shower handle was completely stuck… I had to ask someone from the front desk to come up and they had to force it to be able to make it work. Seems very odd, but in the end it worked out. Very easy to order a Lyft out front to make it to SAP center Overall a great stay.…
I've stayed at this Hilton for 2 weeks in the last month and both times I stayed there they were always extremely helpful. A big thank you to Samuel and the bellhop was great. Amazing breakfast, very clean, nice pool and gym great location and safe parking garage.
Jeffrey at the front desk registration was super helpful, friendly, responsive, and respectful. He saw that I was having a hard time with printing something and he stepped right in to ask if I needed anything? He was able to resolve my issue. He treated me with care and compassion and he truly made my day.
When we came we saw a great welcome. Its awesome especially mr Khanh Pham. He is a great person. Thank you so much my friend you really deserve it 10 points. Hotel was great it has a great front desk team. I owe appreciate for management. 100 points for you
I frequently travel to San Jose for work, and it is no secret that the hotel scene is sparse with not many options. This was my first time staying at the Hilton and I doubt it will be my last. I have previously stayed at the sophisticated Signia Hilton (still my #1 choice), the AC Marriott and the Marriott. Overall Hilton San Jose did a good job during my week business stay and I would recommend it for those looking for above average renovated accommodations. Pulling up, the entrance is very non descript, there is no bell staff or anyone really to welcome or assist. The lobby, while also non descript, appears to have been renovated and has a fresh clean appearance. The lobby bar/restaurant takes up most of the lobby space, there is a also a small quick-mart aside of the front desk with limited selection and a grind & brew coffee machine that they charge per cup. Very "Hilton Garden Inn vibes". The Marriott SJ next door has an expansive lobby that feels more upscale plus they have a large hotel store that has a wide selection of food/drinks plus it doubles as a staffed coffee shop, which is far superior to the Hilton SJ. There is direct access to the SJ Convention Center through Hilton's Lobby. Check-in was quick and the staff was nothing special and nothing was said or done to make me feel particularly welcomed. I asked about an upgrade with my status and I was told that I would be placed on the top floor. I don't really find that to be an upgrade, but the agent was not overly friendly and I didn't want to push it. She didn't share any information about the hotel, location of gym etc. She handed me two bottles of water and showed me the elevators. These two waters were the only complimentary water offered and as far as I could find there are no water refill stations either (Signia Hilton provided two bottles of water per day). The elevators were not really cleaned for the entire week stay and the wait times were excessive. I think the lower floors are still under renovation so they may have had one of the elevators dedicated for this to haul in and out supplies - that's my guess at least. I was on the 18th floor (top) and the hallways were clearly newly renovated, they smelled and looked fresh. Also looks like there is an executive lounge on the 18th floor that is under renovation, if this opens at some point it would be a huge perk. The room was renovated and had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with great mountain views. The decor was clean, modern, not overly stylish but in-line for a mid-tier Hilton. The bed was definitely the best part of the room -- one of the best and most comfortable hotel beds at this tier of hotel! Only suggestion is to add a duvet or comforter, there is just a thin fleece blanket, and it gets chilly at night in SJ. I found myself cranking the heat up at 3am each morning. The bathroom was also refreshed with a clean white marble style appearance, a large walk-in shower and great shower head. There also was an enclosed closet, which I feel more hotels are removing for the exposed closets, so that is really appreciated! Housekeeping came daily, as requested, and did a good job. They do not offer turn down service. The rooms are no doubt much nicer than Marriott next door, but not in the same league as the luxe Signia Hilton up the road. The bar/restaurant is standard fare for a business hotel, the staff was very kind and great conversation. If a gym isn't something important to you on business travel then skip this paragraph. As a few other reviewers mentioned the gym is an afterthought and in desperate need of a complete overhaul. It is tucked away at the end of a hallway. While they have several pieces of cardio equipment, the strength equipment is seriously lacking as they have free weights and a smith pully machine w/only the handles attachments - no others. The gym at Signia Hilton is no competition this gym, Signia's is massive with a variety of equipment and classes to help you stay on your routine. Plus Signia has both steam rooms and saunas. I stopped by the front desk a few times during my stay and found the service to be on the cold side. I asked for more water and they directed me to their mini store, so I assume only two bottles are given with each stay. They were able to accommodate my 3pm checkout at no charge due to my status, which I was thankful for. While I will try to stay at its sister site Signia Hilton San Jose for future trips due to the better equipped gym, more sophisticated styling and better overall service. I wouldn't by any means avoid this Hilton, it is clean and comfortable and a great option in San Jose.…
I had a great time on my stay when the start I was greeted by Roger checked in without problems followed by the ice machine not working on my floor but it was resolve after calling the front desk while taking a shower it took a very long time for it to get hot also the pressure was low for my expectations but overall I had a great time
This is a good hotel for for anyone on business travel. It has a decent restaurant for breakfast and a decent bar area. The exercise room can definitely be upgraded. It is not a hotel that I would take my family for a vacation since it does not have the amenities that we look for a family vacation.
Hilton quality service and hospitality, no doubt. Many restaurant choices within walking distance. A few parks are available for walking, Many sightseeing places as well. No regret staying at this hotel for both business and leasure.
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights recently for her cheerleading competition. While the location of the hotel was very convenient since it's connected to the convention center, the service was lacking. The hotel would not allow us to check out one hour later because too many people had asked for a late checkout. We had to pay an extra $50 to check out at 2 p.m. though I only needed the room till 1 p.m. so I could get my daughter ready for her competition. One of the other cheer families across our room was able to get their room extended for an hour for free. Because the competition didn't end until past 8:30 p.m., we had to request to get our parking extended. That seems like something they should allow you automatically since you're already staying there the entire weekend and had paid for two nights of parking. Fortunately, we got our parking extended because we already paid the $50 late checkout fee, but another cheer parent had to pay an extra $37 to extend her parking till 8 p.m. while another parent was charged $25. Seems like the fees and conditions were all over the place and not consistent. In addition, the parking spots below the hotel are very tight! So if you have a big car, good luck finding a parking spot that fits. Many cars ended up taking two spaces, which made the situation worse for the rest of us. Another big problem is the slow elevators. Because you had to push which floor you were going on ahead of time, it seemed to make the elevator go slower. An ordinary elevator with buttons inside would've been better. Overall, the hotel was fine and location convenient, but the services could be better. Even when we arrived, we told the concierge we needed to bring our luggage upstairs first and would come back down to move our car to the garage. He was like ok, you have 5 minutes or else we're going to tow your car. Wow! I was traveling with just my 11-year old daughter and could not leave her alone with our luggage while I went to park the car. A little more understanding would've been nice. I hope this hotel improves its customer service in the future. Thanks!…
I have to give a great shout out to Piluchi and Jeffery for making me experience great. Their service was caring and welcoming. My room is AWESOME the view was great too! Thank you for giving us this experience!
