No acknowledgement (not a word) of Marriott Bonvoy status at all so obviously no benefits. More focused on making is read a poster board and taking a verbal COVID exam. My phone # and email are on the reservation so WHY make me give all that information again? Room looked/felt like a Motel 6. Very outdated. The lobby seems to be nice and renovated so it doesn’t match the rooms at all. They seem to be taking precautions (at least in the lobby) due to COVID. But the room had no hair dryer so I had to call and request one. The phone in the room was very dusty. It seems like if the rooms were being cleaned and sanitized well they would wipe down the phone since that’s something that guests would be touching. The location of the hotel seemed good.

Found Room 1701 where I was booked at, dirty upon arrival and the hotel was empty! Used & dirty soap holder in the bathroom with soap residue on it.... discolored stained towels hanging for our enjoyment.... dust everywhere. Front desk: no other rooms available yet 5 cars in the parking structure, 4 for employees. My 12 year old daughter "tricked" by complicated "free wifi" app and was charged $18.95 a night for 2 nights + taxes and other fees. Tried to dispute and lost! Ice machines not working with note to go downstairs, front desk said ice available at the restaurant but that is only open 5:00-10:00pm. No ice during the day. Worse experience for business trip. Motel 6 has better accommodations! We checked out early from our 2 day business trip just to feel safe!

Even during COVID-19 this place is 3 times more expensive than anywhere else. I'm high up on the Marriott chain and I'm supposed to get free upgrades but I definitely didn't get one here. I used my points because this place is so expensive and when I checked in, I was extremely disappointed. The staff are nice, but the room is just an average, maybe 2 steps above a motel 6 room. I have no idea why they are so expensive because it's your basic hotel room. I wish I would've known what a waste of money it would be. Also, the ice and vending machines don't work... you have to go down to the desk to get ice, apparently. I will never stay here again, not even if they dropped their rates 70%. No wonder this hotel is basically empty.

This property is located in a good area of San Jose with the airport, stores and restaurants all nearby. Additionally, the local tram network has a stop directly outside of the hotel connecting you to mainline rail services beyond San Jose e.g. San Francisco. The hotel has a welcoming demeanour and the parking valets and luggage porters are always friendly and helpful. The refreshed lobby is well maintained and the front desk staff have always been polite, professional and personable. I have had a variety of rooms here before with the odd quirky layout, however they have always been of a good size. The rooms have all of the amenities that one would expect and they are kept well maintained by the house keeping staff. I have used the gym a number of times and I have always found it to be small but functional. Even when it’s busy, there’s always been equipment available for use. Other facilities at the hotel e.g. the pool, are of a good standard. Overall should you be needing to stay in San Jose then this hotel, from my experience, is a good option for you to consider.

My daughter and I came for a volleyball tournament. When we pulled up to check in yesterday, we were one of many families coming in at the same time. Cars were lined up just trying to get in. As chaotic of a scene it was, the staff was on it. We got our car tagged for valet quit quickly. The check in was pretty painless. The one mark they missed was they should have had someone at the online check in kiosk. Our digital key did not work and this would have been helpful. Other than this small issue, the.staff did an excellent job with the craziness.
