This property is located in a good area of San Jose with the airport, stores and restaurants all nearby. Additionally, the local tram network has a stop directly outside of the hotel connecting you to mainline rail services beyond San Jose e.g. San Francisco.

The hotel has a welcoming demeanour and the parking valets and luggage porters are always friendly and helpful. The refreshed lobby is well maintained and the front desk staff have always been polite, professional and personable.

I have had a variety of rooms here before with the odd quirky layout, however they have always been of a good size. The rooms have all of the amenities that one would expect and they are kept well maintained by the house keeping staff.

I have used the gym a number of times and I have always found it to be small but functional. Even when it’s busy, there’s always been equipment available for use. Other facilities at the hotel e.g. the pool, are of a good standard.

Overall should you be needing to stay in San Jose then this hotel, from my experience, is a good option for you to consider.

The Marriott was incredibly accommodating for what we needed this convention, and all staff were amazing. I do wish the rooms were a little bigger but the junior suite I ended up getting was perfectly adequate for the number of people we had. The housekeeping staff also looked after us as well and I never had to call for towels even though I needed quite a few.

Really nice staff from check in (where I got a multi-room level upgrade to a corner room suite with great views, to the MClub staff, valet guys and everyone we saw on the property.

Our room was nice and had great city and mountain views from our corner room. The room was nice, clean, quiet and when a housekeeper noticed a light flickering as we entered the room she immediately called maintence to change the bulb before we even got settled.

Parking is steep at $49 valet but that’s the big city California rates. Our car always came quick and the guys were nice friendly and attentive.

The MClub, if you are Platnium or above, was very nice with a great hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, several muffin / bread options, several fruits. In the evening there were lots of choices as well with sandwiches, salads and lots of finger food. Plus 4 wines and alcohol if you wanted that too.

No acknowledgement (not a word) of Marriott Bonvoy status at all so obviously no benefits. More focused on making is read a poster board and taking a verbal COVID exam. My phone # and email are on the reservation so WHY make me give all that information again?

Room looked/felt like a Motel 6. Very outdated. The lobby seems to be nice and renovated so it doesn’t match the rooms at all.

They seem to be taking precautions (at least in the lobby) due to COVID. But the room had no hair dryer so I had to call and request one. The phone in the room was very dusty. It seems like if the rooms were being cleaned and sanitized well they would wipe down the phone since that’s something that guests would be touching.

The location of the hotel seemed good.

Found Room 1701 where I was booked at, dirty upon arrival and the hotel was empty! Used & dirty soap holder in the bathroom with soap residue on it.... discolored stained towels hanging for our enjoyment.... dust everywhere. Front desk: no other rooms available yet 5 cars in the parking structure, 4 for employees.

My 12 year old daughter "tricked" by complicated "free wifi" app and was charged $18.95 a night for 2 nights + taxes and other fees. Tried to dispute and lost!

Ice machines not working with note to go downstairs, front desk said ice available at the restaurant but that is only open 5:00-10:00pm. No ice during the day.

Worse experience for business trip. Motel 6 has better accommodations!

We checked out early from our 2 day business trip just to feel safe!

I don't know what is wrong with "Kathleen C", or what she expected from a hotel.

There was nothing wrong with the "people everywhere dressed up as animals."

If she was "on the 23rd floor" she should have had priority access to the elevators.
And if "when it [got] to the 2nd floor it shot back up to the 25th floor still full of the fur people and we were smashed in the back" that means you didn't press the button for the lobby. (It's the one with the star on it)

The valets were very quick to take our car, and by billing it to the room, it was only $20, not $42.

I hope you do "never go back", and we won't miss you.

Our group (Not furries, BTW) had a great time at the hotel, the staff was very accomodating, and the fursuiters were entertaining and friendly.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The location is good, with many restaurants within walking distance. Which you will want to have, since the parking car situation is not idea. I could not even pull up to the hotel to unload the suitcases since it was jammed with cars getting valet service. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel so we parked there but it is pricey and if you park yourself, you pay the garage directly and there is a fee every time you come and go which is ridiculous.
The club lounge was nice for the afternoon snack, but bad for the dessert/snack which was just some awful stale cake and that was it. Breakfast was good though with fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, etc. and coffee.
A big plus was the fact that they have a laundry room with 2 washers, 2 dryers. Strangely though, they only take quarters, and a lot of them are required, but no change machine there so you will have to go to the front desk with cash to change since it is doubtful that you will happen to have 12 quarters in your pocket. The machines do a good job though so that was a big plus.
The TVs did not work while we were there which was super irritating. They would work for a few minutes, then the screen would freeze for a few minutes, etc. This went on for both days I was there and of course during the Wimbledon Final that we were trying to watch. They were having some kind of issue throughout the hotel with this but the front desk seemed to think it was all fixed when it was not.
Overall, an ok stay. It's a decent building with a nice lobby area in a good location and the plus of having laundry machines. But parking/car situation was not ideal and the TV situation was so annoying.

Spacious room even with two queen-sized beds. Large windows brought in a lot of natural light. The bathroom was very basic but not cramped.

The room overlooked the convention center; the constant humming of the ventilation units added to the sound from the nearby highway. Not sure if the rooms overlooking the street would be better. There is a direct entrance to the convention center and a convenience store right next to it.

Room 1517 was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping does a good job. Temperature controls are very easy to change and there was a refrigerator, coffee maker and a complimentary bottle of water. I love using the Marriott app to get my room key on my phone and bypass the front desk. It makes things very convenient. This hotel is a short walk to the Convention Center VTA light rail station that I was able to use to travel to and from the San Jose Airport. One issue I noticed though is that the in-room safe was not bolted to the cabinet. Anybody can literally just pick it up and carry it out of the room (which basically defeats the purpose of safe).

A modern, upscale hotel in a convenient location. Up to date amenities and friendly service. The availability of the M Lounge 24 hours a day is a real bonus, especially for travel let’s arriving and departing from different time zones. International properties have offered such a service for years now. So glad to see US based properties finally catching up. A well stocked convenience store, more so than most. One issue I did not appreciate was being disturbed in my room by hotel engineering. My DO NOT DISTURB sign was up and my door was locked, so normal Marriott policy would have been to phone the room and ask for access. I did not appreciate the engineering even knocking on the door and disturbing me, much less requiring entry for a non-emergency item. It was terribly inconsiderate and not in keeping with well established policy.

There is a parking garage list that will give you information about nearby lots and garages. If you google the key words. Sorry, I'm not allowed to do links on TripAdvisor. If you don't have to carry much luggage you can park a few blocks from the hotel and get less expensive rates. You could check to see if any part of your stay qualifies you for validated parking.
