Accommodations were used both going and coming on a trip to northern CA. As we picked up a family member from SFO it was very convenient. Having a continental breakfast was also a time-saver. This hotel was remodeled in the last 3 or 4 years with contemporary colors and furnishings, and best of all, what looks like vinyl plank flooring in the rooms (so much cleaner than carpet!). While it isn't the height of luxury, the bed was comfortable, the sheets weren't the cheapest/scratchiest that you usually get in this price range, the rooms are decent sized and very clean. For the price, this hotel is an extremely good value.

Hotel is great if you want somewhere close to the hotel like me. My flights was 8 am in the morning. Hotel is clean with basic amenities. They provide complimentary shuttle service which starts from 4.00 am in the morning and closes at 12 midnight.
You should confirm the pick-up location from the airport. The confirmation email says dial 51 at hotel shuttle stop. We did that and waited for almost an hour. We saw the shuttle passed us and did not stop. Hotel said that the driver didn’t see anyone at the shuttle stop. After calling the hotel twice, I gave up and called Uber because it was too cold. Morning shuttle service went well. Allow 30 min for the driver to pick up guests from a few hotels even though the hotel is 5-10 min driving distance to San Fran International Airport.

When I researched where I wanted to stay, my options included places between San Mateo and San Francisco counties. I decided to look for a place in San Bruno because it's close to the airport and yet not that far from SF where I would go for some appointments. Super 8 by Wyndham was the only hotel I could find with a list of amenities I consider essential including the free parking. Its location is ideal on El Camino Real because it's close to the freeways and to many good places to eat.

I stayed at Super 8 San Bruno twice during the month of November 2023 (each time for a single night). The hotel is well located, just a few meters from the beginning of San Matteo Avenue, where there are many restaurants (Arab, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Hawaiian, Mexican, etc.), grocery stores and various shops. The first is a train, whose station is at the end of San Matteo Avenue, but the schedules are not very convenient and the main stop is at the San Francisco train station, about two or more kilometers from the most central area of the city (Union Square). BART is the fast subway, which runs from the airport to downtown San Francisco and beyond. The BART station is near the Tanforan shopping center, about a mile from the Caltrain station on Huntington Avenue. If your goal is to visit San Francisco and get to know the city better, choose a hotel in the city center (I recommend the Mission District). But, if the objective is just to spend the night close to the airport, the Super 8 San Bruno is an excellent option.

I was pleasantly surprised with this property. Obviously, it has been recently refurbished (and possibly rebranded from a Super 8), and it exceeded my expectations.
The price was reasonable for San Francisco and the proximity to the airport.
My room was sensational. Spotlessly clean, with no obvious maintenance needed, except for a few window blind slats that had obviously been damaged.
It was super clean, with good air conditioning, and a great bathroom with excellent water pressure. Even for a room facing the street (and the airport), sound was barely noticeable.
The breakfast room was a little small - especially during busy times, with seating for only about 10 people, and even then, not a lot of room to move around. But the continental breakfast was well stocked, the area clean, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, and the ability to make waffles.
Check-in and check-out was quick and friendly, although the only disappointment was that on almost all interactions with staff, they appeared to be on personal phone calls - on speaker / FaceTime. Which was kind of... weird. And just a little unprofessional. But maybe that's allowed by the owners / management of the hotel.
Overall, however, this was a great place to stay.

Checked in with Julia who was friendly enough. I had phoned earlier to say I would arrive around 930pm which I did. Room was spacious and the bed was fine. But the toilet seat was broken and the toilet was choked. I was not going downstairs again as I had an early flight, so I thought I would advise when I was checking out. I slept fairly well, and went downstairs to check out and get the 6am shuttle which did not arrive until 6.05 am. I had paid £134 for the night which was expensive for 8.5 hours but it was convenient for the airport and I wouldn’t have minded if the toilet had been ok, do the rooms not get checked before people arrive ? When I mentioned the toilet to the staff, the chap said to me “was it like that when you went in ???”Obviously I did not do it and I did not like the insinuation that I did ! Don’t think I would ever use this hotel again !

We booked this hotel as it was close to the airport and offered a free shuttle bus between 5am-10am. However when we arrived at the hotel we were told this only ran until 9am, despite clearly saying on their own website and hotels.com website that this was available until 10am. We ended up having to pay $15 for a taxi with no reimbursement from the hotel.

I stayed here for one night to be close to the airport for a flight the next morning. It served that purpose. The desk clerks were courteous and helpful. There is adjacent free parking. You might say the room is "bare bones," but for one person it was quite comfortable. Iron and ironing board, plug-in sockets on the lamps, a small but adequate sink area, a coffee maker and coffee, and a closet with plenty of hangers. The bed was very comfortable. No carpeting, and I wish the TV remote had a sleep control but it didn't. Walk-in shower with grab bar, shower gel and towels provided. Inexpensive. Breakfast was available but I preferred to leave and eat at the airport. For the price, it's a good place for a short stay.

Took about 10 minutes to get there from the airport and the shuttle ran on time (from 6am-9am and again from 6pm-10pm). And the shuttle was free. Those are the only positive things that I can say about this place. don’t let the photographs for you. I spent the night here so that I could catch an early morning flight. It looks as though someone took a coat of paint and called it a renovation. The bathtub was rusty. The paint on the walls was peeling. The continental breakfast was prepackaged muffins and yogurt. Dingy feeling all around. I guess this is what to expect when you stay at a Super 8.
