The owners were very friendly and helpful suggesting things to do while in the area. Their home was clean, well decorated and comfortable. Our room was on the main floor, had an incredibly comfortable bed, fireplace, big bathtub and decent overall size. The daily breakfasts were outstanding. I got up a few hours before everyone else but they made sure... More

Just back from a very enjoyable three night holiday weekend stay. We are not regular B&B'ers, but this visit might change us. Todd and I felt completely welcomed right from the get go. The decor is full-on Victorian dream. Bill and Karen have lovingly created a magical place for travelers to feel part of this home-away-from-home. Our Cirque Room was... More

Staying at Robin's nest was a unique experience. The house was old and beautiful with very interesting interiors. The room was clean and decorated with a big splash of personality. The hosts were truly helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was served at a time of our choice and it was very good. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to eat this... More

Bill and Karen were amazing hosts with a beautiful home. We stayed in the Carousel room, on the top floor. Very comfortable bed, full bath, and a deep soaking tub. Perfect for a relaxing and romantic stay. We enjoyed gourmet breakfast both mornings. The mango soup was a pleasant surprise. I hope to learn how to make it. Bill was... More

Warm greeting by owner included tour of the entire house since we arrived in early afternoon. He was generous with his time and shared wonderful stories about many of the details and improvements of the house. We had a great "happy hour" on the lawn outside while playing on the ladder golf set there. Then in the evening, we enjoyed... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you found it a positive experience. I think the proper name for the game is "ladder-toss" or "bolo-toss" however as the bolos are made with golf balls, the name you assigned is equally if not even more suitable. More

We had two rooms recently for myself and my husband and my daughter and son-in-law. We were upgraded from the nook and cranny rooms to the gardenia and soleil rooms. We too had the grand tour of the house, which was interesting. There are a lot of items around which adds to the character. We did notice some dust, but... More

Thank you for your gracious review. We're glad you found it a positive experience. We like to think of the place as Shabby-Chic which seems to fit in with your Different and Quirky. We're in the process of finding someone to help us with housekeeping now that we're so busy that we sometimes we fall a bit behind on the... More

Thank you so much for your gracious review and we appreciate your suggesting a possible explanation (over-furnished) for "some dust". In all honesty, the main reason is that we have fallen behind in our detail housekeeping due to the fact that we are experiencing a much higher level of working guests since the Butte Fire. Consequently we aren't experiencing the... More

A delightful stay. My 12 yr old son and I stayed a night this last weekend and were impressed with not only the excellent food ( I'm kicking myself for not getting the recipe for the "fruit soup" ) but the friendly and accommodating service. We'll be staying here again.

We stayed two days here while exploring the area and caving just a bit. It was a warm and inviting place to stay. The hosts were welcoming and very friendly. Our rooms were charming and full of Karen's favorite things. We all enjoyed it very much.

Two Thumbs and Four Paws Up!!! Great, tasty, stomach loving food. European décor and Victorian beauty transports you back to an era not forgotten. The welcomingly warm home appeal and botanical bonanza effortlessly transforms you. After meeting Grocho the Coon Cat you may never want to leave. Thank you Karen, Bill, Groucho and the rest of the gang!!!

Thank you Brian. We appreciate the kind words despite the fact that Groucho hasn't been quite the same since you checked out. The first thing he does whenever he manages to get in is to check out your room, no doubt to check if you've come back. And we agree, it was a fun gang while it lasted. More
