We usually stay at bed and breakfast Inn when we travel, but establishments like Wine Country Inn and Cottages have become our new favorite. Our room was lovely, clean and in a quiet location. The bed was extremely comfortable and the black out drapes were perfect for keeping the room dark. Loved the large dressing area and bathroom! The grounds are pristine and wonderfully maintained. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the view of the vineyards. The buffet style breakfast was terrific, so many options and the staff are extremely accommodating. The Inn is conveniently located to town and the other wine yards. We took a long walk in the morning and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. This is truly a welcome escape from our busy schedules and look forward to returning next time we visit Napa.

Just returned from out first visit to Napa Valley and the Wine Country Inn. beautiful peaceful location in Saint Helena area of Napa, close to Main Street, wineries and restaurants. We were lucky enough to get probably one of the better located rooms with unobstructed views from our east facing balcony of a neighboring winery and the hills in the background. Late afternoon snack and a glass or two of wine in the shade on the balcony was so relaxing. Exactly what we came for. The room itself was bright, clean, very spacious and amazingly quiet. In fact the whole Inn had a serine feel to it during the day. The quiet almost hurting our ears! The provided breakfast was standard hotel fare buffet style. Not outstanding, but acceptable to get the day started. Coffee was fresh and hot as was an egg dish, bacon and sausage links the days we were there. Cold cereal and toast essentials, with yogurts and fruits also available. All in all very pleased with our random choice of the Wine Country Inn, and would love to return one day.

We returned to the Wine Country Inn after more than twenty years. We are frequent Napa Valley visitors, and we have experienced several other inns. The Wine Country Inn is our favorite. A little bit off the beaten path, it is extremely peaceful and quiet. Our room was very comfortable, with two nice sofas and a balcony overlooking the vineyard. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Claude Morin

Beautiful property. The rooms felt luxurious. Staff was so helpful and attentive. Breakfast every morning was a bonus we hadn't planned on. It was good and there was a lot of variety The coffee was always on no matter the time of day and there were always plenty of liquid beverages available. The views were terrific. It was everything I thought it would be for a perfect Napa getaway.

Pros: Great location right next to a few vineyards (Freemark Abbey, Duckhorn) with lots of parking spots. Also 15 min to downtown St Helena. Breakfast was delicious too and you can ask for their quiche recipe, which they are happy to provide. Cons: The major con for me was that there were a lot of small flying insects in our room - for the roughly 16 hours that we were there, killed at least a dozen small flying insects that were around the room. Even though they were harmless (i.e. not mosquitos), it made it hard to fully relax and took away from the luxury feel of the whole experience. Not having many bugs in my room seems like a basic requirement, especially for the at least $350+ price per night charged here. Note 1: We did not leave windows/doors open, and were very careful about shutting the entry door immediately. There were already a handful of bugs in the bathroom when we first entered. Note 2: I filled out the hotel survey with similar comments about 5 days ago but as of this writing no one has reached out to me to try and resolve, which to me implies something about their customer service as well

Lovely inn. Quiet, just off the beaten path of the highway but close to wineries (walking distance to Freemark Abbey and Duckhorn) and lots of dining options. Rooms are spacious, clean, with plenty of amenities. We stayed in a garden cottage (800 sq ft!) which has its own private outdoor patio with chairs, chaises, retractable awning, and fountain). Inside is a comfortable King bed, large bathroom with jetted tub, rain/double sprayer walk-in shower, loads of storage, mini fridge, sofa and best of all, a cosy window seat great for reading nook. A heated pool and jet spa down in the gardens plus a full buffet breakfast makes this a real winner.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and we can hardly wait to return! We literally felt like we were staying in the middle of a vineyard as the property is surrounded by local vineyards such as Duckhorn and Freemark Abbey. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, and our view from one of the cottages, #30, was amazing. While the bathrooms are dated, the shower, towels, robes, etc. made up for that. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the outdoor space was perfect. We also had a mini fridge. The breakfast buffet was a perfect gathering spot for our party of 8 to leisurely meet up every morning. The indoor seating is nice, but we preferred to have breakfast every morning on the outdoor terrace overlooking the beautiful surroundings. The buffet had a different egg option every morning (quiche or scrambled or frittata), bacon and sausage, cereals, yogurts, granola, fresh fruit, fresh pastries, and juice choices. The coffee bar was available starting at 6:00 am (which is perfect for us eastern time zone people), and available all day. The hotel is less than a 10 minute drive from downtown St. Helena, where we found some amazing restaurants. We would definitely recommend Cook, Market, Charter Oak, and Brasswood. The overall feel I had from this hotel was similar to some quaint European places we have stayed…beautiful, very laid back, quiet, peaceful, solid breakfast, and comfortable rooms.

If you are looking for a serene, peaceful spot in Napa with a good price point for the area - this is it. The property is beautifully maintained - really pretty. Rooms are spacious, updated, and very clean with great views. The only complaint on the rooms is the bathrooms have no counter space. Pool is so quiet, very lovely, and well maintained. Daily free breakfast is excellent!!! Homemade egg dish, high-quality pastries, good granola - lots of options. The staff was nice, and they give you unlimited free bottled water which is a nice gesture. This is not the place to stay if you want the Napa trendy scene. You won't find a fun bar, well-dressed crowd or a hip pool. This is a romantic pretty property that is in a good location.

Worst hotel ever stayed. Housekeeping never came and cleaned our room. They charged us for an extra night for checking out an hour later. Rooms have spiderwebs all over. Uncomfortable bedding. Stay away. It’s a complete rip off. There are many great other options.
