We were grandparents, traveling with two toddlers, during covid. We needed a stree-free stay! Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was great. Clean and the a/c worked well. We had the pool to ourselves. Conveniently located close to old town Sacramento, which they loved. We would stay here again.

Do NOT STAY HERE! Nightmare. The owner is a complete weirdo. His hotel is always empty for a reason. My husband called me on the room phone and they listen to my calls and the next time he called back they would not put his call thru, telling him I wasn’t excepting calls, When I asked why they said i wasn’t takin calls?? They said it was something that was said on the previous call. They listened in on my call!!!! It was a creepy place . Felt like I was being watched in my room!

Check in at 3 PM and not earlier. Even if you come 20 minutes earlier they let you wait. If you expect friendly staff smilingand welcome you you better move on The area is horrible and surrounded by homeless people The rooms are average but very pricey. The hotel is clean.

Stayed a week at the Governors Inn and all went well. Rooms need a little updating but comfortable. Staff was very professional and attentive. Irene (?) one of the house cleaners was amazing and always had something to say to make you smile. Sketchy area with a lot of homeless but we felt very safe. Will stay again in the future.
