Visited on driving tour of CA/NV. Quiet Location (ask for room away from neighbouring MacDonalds). Excellent Service from reception. Positive and engaging. Nice large room. Very comfortable and well appointed. Easy journey/Uber to Old Town.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly; beyond that, however, I found this hotel a bit lacking. The breakfast offering was very minimal, and the fitness center was also very limited. The location isn't really convenient to downtown Sacramento for those without a car. Moreover, aside from some drive-thru fast food places, there aren't any standard sit-down restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel.
Check-in was very easy and staff was friendly. Rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK but the only drink was coffee. Not having juice wasn't a big deal but they didn't even have water. Seems like a pretty easy thing to offer.
Traumatizing experience do not stay Who likes to be woken up at 6:30 in the morning? How about being woken up by the sound of your door opening? We’ll that’s what happened to me on Oct 17. At 6:30am I am woken up by the sound of my hotel door opening. I sprint towards the door to slam it on the intruder and look through the peephole to watch the intruder scurry away with a cart of some sort. After calling the front desk, they said it was a “maintenance man.” What? Why? Also, why would the maintenance man run away down the hall? Though I was furious l, I was equally tired. Without a deadbolt, I resorted to pushing furniture against the door to feel safe. I felt like a kid practicing for what to do in a school shooting. Fast forward to 10:30am. At checkout, I explained that someone came in my room, unannounced at 6:30. All I was given was “the maintenance guy made a mistake and went in your room.” No empathy. No sorry. No anything. I will never stay at this place ever again. The experience was horrible. The staff lacked empathy and responsibility for their actions. Don’t stay here.…
This hotel is great, it was clean, tidy, all the staff (ALL OF THEM) were more than helpful. Even the housekeeper, who noticed us coming back & rearranged her cleaning to get our room done first. All the front desk staff were great, esp Heiner, he was so helpful, informative & kind! It's not in the most perfect area & there are some homeless in the area around it, but it was not noticeable on the property or in the hotel at all. we walked over to the Denny's across the street and had great service, too. And no one driving had to worry, as there is a tall fence around the whole property's parking lot. Pool was nice, no hot tub due to Covid & breakfasts are necessarily limited, but that is everywhere & does not affect my review here. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a a pleasant place to stay The airport shuttle service was so handy too. (even the drivers were so nice!)…
Front desk staff was friendly and pleasant. Hotel is well kept, room was clean, and air conditioning worked well. Neighborhood near hotel has a homeless issue like most larger California cities, but parking lot was fenced in and safe. Nice location not far from Historic waterfront and bike trails. Great value in Sacramento.
We have stayed here multiple times. First stay, took a wrong turn and wondered what we got ourselves into! However, when we checked in, any concerns were allayed. We have used the park n fly, used the shuttle to both SMF and the Amtrak station. Always clean and secure. The rooms are surprisingly big. A definite yes.
Excellent location! Great covid19 protocols, exceptional security, great rooms and excellent staff support! Parking is plentiful well lit. Close to old downtown Sacramento and easy freeway access to all of Sacramento
We were grandparents, traveling with two toddlers, during covid. We needed a stree-free stay! Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was great. Clean and the a/c worked well. We had the pool to ourselves. Conveniently located close to old town Sacramento, which they loved. We would stay here again.
Do NOT STAY HERE! Nightmare. The owner is a complete weirdo. His hotel is always empty for a reason. My husband called me on the room phone and they listen to my calls and the next time he called back they would not put his call thru, telling him I wasn’t excepting calls, When I asked why they said i wasn’t takin calls?? They said it was something that was said on the previous call. They listened in on my call!!!! It was a creepy place . Felt like I was being watched in my room!
