They have a "$100 non-refundable deposit" for a pet. "non-refundable deposit' is an ambiguous way of saying "fee". Just say it. Also, $100 for a pet? Whaaat? That's unreasonable. Most hotels have $25 to $35 (maybe with a *refundable* deposit). Do NOT stay here if you have a pet. With their $100 non-refundable deposit, they are clearly saying your pet is not welcome here. In addition, thermostat in the room didn't work. Set it for 68F when we went to sleep and it never cooled down. It was 76F in the morning :-( Lastly, showerhead was painful and not enjoyable Good news - they have Tesla and EV chargers

Hotel's Favorite
I have never been to Sacramento. On this trip we drove up the coast and stayed at several Hyatt Hotels. This by far was our favorite! We arrived early and were greeted by Marilyn at the desk. She was the only one working and was checking us in and fielding numerous calls. She kept a great attitude throughout and was so friendly. Although there was no valet or bell service, she made sure we had a clean cart for our stuff. She explained clearly the process of the self parking in addition to drink and restaurant options in the hotel. Our room was large clean and luxurious. The hotel location is literally by the Capitol and right in the "grid". You can walk to many nearby spots. I also cannot emphasize how luxurious the outdoor area/pool deck is. We sat out and had breakfast there both days. I spent one full day at the pool. Although the hotel is on a main road huge shrubs provide privacy and some noise reduction. The value for this stay is outstanding. We will return!

Thank you for the fantastic five star review! And your kind words about Marilyn. She has worked at the hotel since we opened in 1988 and the place would not be the same without her! We really appreciate you glowing review and your business. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

I stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2020. I’ve previously had decent experiences at the hotel. My experience was not horrible, but it was far from great. Housekeeping needs to pay attention to detail. My king room (made for two guests) had one hand towel and one washcloth. All of the in-room coffee was decaf. Although California had relaxed most Covid restrictions by the time of my stay, the hotel was still full of Covid excuses: no housekeeping. Lobby bar closed. Restaurant closed in the evenings except for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Executive lounge closed. No valet parking. So on and so forth. Mind you, the corporate rate I paid was no lower than before the pandemic...just a lot less service. World of Hyatt ‘globalist’ perks were disappointing in their delivery compared to other hotels. “Free” breakfast, previously access to the buffet, was now a $19 credit. Of course that didn’t cover an entree and a smoothie in the restaurant, so I got to pay for part of my breakfast. Although the executive lounge (which typically has complimentary evening snacks, etc.) was closed, no credit to the hotel’s little market or restaurant was provided (as at other hotels)...instead it was just another perk removed, because Covid. On Thursday night, I was looking forward to enjoy a drink at the bar. The lobby bar was closed (because Covid!), so I went to the bar in Dawson’s, the steakhouse. I was met by a bartender who clearly did not want to be at work and seemed irritated customers wanted to do his job. He was gruff with me and everyone else. His opening line: “What do you want?” Well, how about...a menu. I asked for a wine list and was given a restaurant menu. When I decided to order a cocktail from the menu instead of a glass of wine, he seemed even more annoyed—after all, more work for him. He referenced some guide to make the “craft cocktail” from the hotel’s own menu; what he served was gross. And it was $17. I’ll pay for a nice cocktail and great service; instead I got a gross cocktail and a bartender disinterested in his job. To another customer who responded with “What do you want?” With a “Kentucky mule” (pretty common drink), his response was “I don’t know what that is.” Really friendly dude, full of hospitality. The room itself was only okay. The hotel has decided that apparently desks aren’t necessary, so there was a little round table...with no plugs. So to do work you got to string your cords across the floor over to a wall with a plug. The fitness center, oddly down the street instead of in the hotel itself, did have nice equipment and a full selection of cardio and weights. Meh.

So sorry to hear your stay was only "average". That is not acceptable. Would appreciate if you would reach out to our Director of Operations, Dustin Dietel, to discuss. He can be reached at 916-443-1234 or dustin.dietel@hyatt.com. Thank you.

Booked this hotel to be close to family but it’s party central. The staff is great but noise in hallways and outside went on all Friday & Sat. Nights. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep because you won’t. We had a corner suite on the 10 floor and the room was nice but noise level was off the chart.

So sorry to hear you did not get a good night's sleep. We used top be pretty slow on the weekends, but with CA finally reopening the weekends have been a little crazy. I am sure it'll calm down soon. Again, our apologies.

We recently stayed here and had a great experience. The whole hotel was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and professional. We will definitely stay here when we come back to Sacramento.
