The Delta king is very charming! Cute rooms on the river in Old Town Sacramento! Clean and comfy beds. Lots to do within walk distance. The breakfast that is included in the stay was amazing as far as taste but the waiter was hardly seen. I have celiac disease was was surprised they had breakfast options other than fruit!! I will definitely be back in the future!

We visited this Hotel the 2nd day they had reopened. The safety protocols re the virus were excellent, even wiping off the pens we used to check in along with cleaning our credit card. The place is very clean and all seems to have been refurbished recently. We had dinner and the safe distance was in place along with masks being worn by the staff and visitors. The river boats going by outside our room were fun to watch, with people once more enjoying themselves. The bar was open with lots of outside seating and reasonable prices. A fun and different kind of hotel!!!

If you want the experience of being on a boat without actually moving this is fine. Rooms are small which is to be expected. Didn't eat on the boat so not sure about the food but the restaurant looked nice.

It’s exactly what you expect by starting you walk down the gangplank to get on the boat. The doors are original and small everything is original which is the charm. Our room was on 4th deck so we had to carry our luggage up one set of stairs not to bad and if you are challenged they do have an elevator at one end of ship. Room is small but it’s part of the experience and you quickly get a feel for how others traveled. If you are over 6’ you may not feel quite the same. Restuarant and bar are fantastic to hang out in and sitting outside with a glass of wine is priceless.

To be honest the rest of Sacramento was sold out (conventions?) and I'm glad it was! What a great find. Will stay here again for sure. Staff was phenomenal, professional, courteous and sincere. Checking in and out was a breeze. The room I was in was SUPER CLEAN (spotless actually), tidy and had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was included, It was a real breakfast. It was simple (my choice) and done very well. If you preferred a more upscale breakfast that was also available. The place was full of character and charm. What a perfect fit for Old Sacramento and its Gold Rush era buildings. An excellent start for my mini getaway!
