*Much* cleaner than the hotel across the street. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast, with ingenious pancake machine. Recommend sausage and gravy. Allowed early checkin and late checkout- very accommodating to our family. Conveniently located close to downtown. Highly recommend the H Salt Fish n'Chips nearby.

There is quite a bit to see that is walking distance on your own...one block from the Governor's Mansion, 1/2 mile to the capitol buildings, about1.2 miles to old town by the river (Train museum, old wood boardwalks, shopping etc) We have never investigated a formal tour....just explored on our own... music venues, dives, diners, drive-ins show recommendations...plenty for one day!!!

We are in walking distance to lots of wonderful restaurant, Capitol building is about 8 blocks from our property and old Sacramento is about 25 minutes walk lots of museum in old Sacramento and my favourite CA Railroad Museum. As far as bike tour lots of rental places are available.The one we recomend would be practicalcycle, they will provide you biking trail also we do have map for biking trail as well at our desk.
