This is the worst lodging experience that I have ever had, to be honest. No complaints about the location and the check-in process - it was quick an easy; however, what has happened next cannot be a standard for a 4-star hotel. We have arrived to Sacramento for a local event. Upon checking in, we dropped our bags and left the room. After the event, we came back and rested for 30 minutes on top of the sheets (this is important). As we were ready to go out, we discovered that one of the beds hid an unexpected fecal matter that looked like a skid mark on the sheet under the cover. We were not able to contact the front desk or service, as the room phone did not work. Thus, we waited for 20 minutes downstairs, as the understaffed front desk personnel was trying to help multiple large groups. Once we explained our “situation” to Nathan Wakeen, Director of Front Office, he has reached out to the cleaning crew supervisor to address the issue. He has informed us that it will be taken care of, so we can leave for now and "figure out the rest later". When we came back later that night, the issue was addressed, though we had to double check the other bed as well. In the morning, when I talked to Nathan again, he has informed me that the cleaning supervisor looked at the “freshness” of the matter last night and determined that it was not due to the cleaning crew’s oversight or fault. Therefore, it was insinuated and hinted (more implied) that we were the ones responsible for this! This is simply outrageous! I definitely did not expect the outcome like this, especially given that this is not a budget motel and they should have much higher standards. I will not ever stay there again and would advise everyone else to stay away!

I was on a solo business trip and really liked the hotel (my first time there). The room was comfy and the staff was very attentive. So why the mediocre review? The neighborhood is downright scary. Most metropolitan areas have a homeless issue. But I felt UNSAFE, more here than anywhere I've been. The homeless people I encountered at nearly every turn were VERY aggressive. And that made it difficult to go out...ruining the chance to enjoy the city. I'm not a fan of hotel food, in general (no negative comment intended on this specific hotel) so food delivery services were my lifesaver. But hotel management may want to put a word in with Sacramento PD. As for me, I will stay elsewhere and use a car service next time.

My family and I were recently in town for a family gathering and booked 2 rooms for a 2 night stay. The reservation was guaranteed with a credit card and we did not anticipate any issues. However, when we attempted to check in, we were informed they had no availability (we could have made do with one room) and they had booked us for 2 rooms at the Sheraton. When we asked about changing the stay to Sheraton for both nights, they told us a new reservation would have to be made which would change our rate. The main issue was the inconvenience of having to check in one place then changing to another place after one night. To add insult to injury, they advertised “room service” availability until 10 pm, but when I tried to order at 8, no one even answered. The suite we were given was nice (2 bedrooms) enough, but the halls were dark. The customer service at the Sheraton they sent us to was good. The staff was friendly. However, the rooms were old and a bit musty (one child developed allergy symptoms that resolved once we left). It was paid for by Residence Inn so we did not complain too much. Overall, I would not stay at either place again and would consider giving my business to Hilton rather than the SPG hotels in the Sacramento area.

The people are really nice great location Starbucks downstairs rooms nice however parking is across the street even though you do not pay for parking it is an inconvenience so that u r pushed into taking Uber paying $20 extra per night for a small refrigerator is not an inducement for coming back If you r not bothered by any of these issues then Sheraton is a nice place to stay

Stayed In lieu of my regular place because they had a government rate available. What a disappointment - had not stayed here in years and apparently I have become accustomed to services and facilities at other hotels. Arrived around 11:15 pm and there are zero food options available. No gift shop to purchase anything and no snack vending machines. They do have a Soda vending machine however there are not any diet sodas stocked. The front desk suggested I walk 2 blocks down to a 7-11 which didn't seem too smart considering there were a lot of transients sleeping on he streets. Food options are limited right around the hotel in the evening and the options at the bar are also extremely limited. My recommendation is to stay elsewhere unless a conference or something dictates this hotel.
