The Sheraton Grand is a large hotel centrally located in downtown Sacramento…. That being said everything surrounding it is overpriced, dirty and overall not a safe vibe, but that’s my opinion. The hotel itself is like I said, large and the room was alright. Bed was comfy, but I couldn’t help but notice some dingy furnishings. My view was nice. The fridge was absolutely tiny, I would call it more if a small refreshment cooler (emphasis on the small). Bathroom was fine. What was obnoxious was how loud the hotel was. Everything from the floor above and under (and in the hallways) echoed! When people shut their doors my walls shook and depending on how person was to my room it was loud! At one point I wondered if construction was going on. I could also hear every word spoken in the hallway. There’s a communal microwave on the second floor that was really dirty with peoples spilt food. The staff was very friendly from my experience, I just think the hotel could do more to live up to the “grand” name.

Impress how big the Hotel was. Not impress with the room upon check in, a lot of maintenance issues. Room was old in décor, furniture was old and broken, curtains were old and torn, carpet was old and seem dirty, even though it has been vacuum. A/C in bedroom was not working properly, standing water in tub, wall sockets were coming out of the wall when unplugging. Was not impress with this room, all the issues were brought to the desk upon check out. Definitely not up to Marriott standards!

It offers small and outdated rooms. Bathroom outdated as well. No refrigerator in room. Slow wifi, and very confusing wifi charge. I ordered hot breakfast for pickup upon a return call, but they never call me, which ended up cold breakfast. Later, they claimed that they had called me, but no rings at all. So, either way -- telephone issue or staff issue -- , it is problematic. Parking is a hassle, and expensive valet parking. I am not satisfied with this hotel at all.

Stayed here for a night during a recent trip to California, using a free night certificate from our credit card. We arrived early but were able to get into our room, which was on a high floor ( my preference) and was quite comfortable. We had access to the concierge lounge, which was very convenient for breakfast the next day. The staff was helpful and friendly, and overall we felt that it was a successful stay.

We stayed at the Sheraton for one night as a stop through to our next destination. We didn’t have high hopes, but we didn’t think it would be as much of a let down as it was. The bar food was not good. They hit you with self-parking and wifi charges as you check in, and the rooms were outdated and stuffy. On the positive side, the gym was nice, but unless you are solo travelling for work in the downtown core, I would not stay here.
