Some people would say I came here for a babymoon (though I really hate that phrase and would prefer to describe it as a long-overdue vacation). But it was excellent. I came on early weekdays, and had the pool, spa, sculpture garden, breakfast restaurant all to myself. We had a beautiful view of the valley from our room. It was just what we were looking for on vacation. And the service was excellent. And let me say... the cooks in the restaurant know what they are doing! The pancakes were some of the best I ever had. The breakfast potatoes were in fact the best I ever had... crispy on outside, soft on inside, just right amount of salt. It is not your regular hotel food. Highly, highly recommend! Now trying to get my parents and in-laws to come.

Auberge du Soleil is a place that has deep strengths in every area, but still somehow manages to be better than the sum of its parts. The setting, facilities and most importantly, the team, come together to create a hospitality experience that is truly magical and unforgettable. The setting is gorgeous, as well as central to many of the best vineyards and restaurants in Napa. The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and has lush grounds as well as an impressive art collection on display. Each area of the hotel, from the main pool, indoor/outdoor gym and comprehensive spa (which has a cold plunge, hot tub and warm springs and sauna that are open to anyone staying at the hotel) to the numerous walking trails around property are exceptionally well maintained. The resort is adults-only so the pool (in addition to being a serene place to pass the time), is open 24 hours a day along with the pool. The rooms all include a fireplace, large TV (and a smaller one in the bathroom), large shower and standalone soaking tub, as well as a patio with various views. They feel quite large between a combination of lots of natural light (e.g. skylight in the shower, large floor-to-ceiling doors to the patio), mirrors and the stunning depth of the views you are afforded—I would highly recommend you splurge on a Hillside or Valley View Room or Suite as having in-room breakfast while enjoying the view is a highlight of any stay. Speaking of which, the casual dining options as well as the one-Michelin starred restaurant are excellent. Auberge du Soleil has one of the best wine collections in Napa, and has polished options for in-room dining, poolside dining, casual lunches or multi-course dinners. A few of the times we have stayed at Auberge we were celebrating anniversaries or birthdays and the kitchen never failed to prepare something special for the occasion. Also, while the views from the pool, spa and rooms are incredible, the Restaurant enjoys the best one! There are a lot of ways to spend time while on property (e.g. you can request a painting set to your room and sip wine while attempting to recreate your view on canvas), but part of what makes Auberge du Soleil so special is the access it can grant you within Napa. The concierge team diligently put together itineraries for us on numerous visits, oftentimes granting us access to wineries that are typically only open to members. Their recommendations were spot on each time, and, had we needed it, they have a partnership with Mercedes so that you can borrow new vehicles to travel around St. Helena and beyond. Finally, the service is incredibly polished without feeling stuffy or overdone. Check in is efficient, the sommelier and dinner servers are knowledgable yet friendly, and the housekeeping team is very thorough (and did a great job of timing AM and turndown services for when we were at activities or the restaurant. Auberge du Soleil is the best hotel in Northern California and one of the best I have ever visited.

I spent two nights at Auberge du Soleil, and my experience was outstanding. Located atop Rutherford Road, the grounds are gorgeous with breathtaking views from nearly every corner. The rooms are extremely quiet and luxurious, and every little detail is well thought out and tasteful. The bathrooms are huge, with plush towels, wonderful products, and a deep soaking tub + lovely shower. The staff are all excellent, from the front desk to the wait staff and pool staff to housekeeping. I've stayed at several hotels during Covid-19 and everyone has cut back in some way--not so at Auberge du Soleil. They are continuing to provide exceptional service and everyone is friendly and accommodating. The pool is spectacular, and while I (kind of) wish I could have brought my young son, I also appreciated the tranquility of a kid-free pool and resort. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes from St. Helena and 10 minutes from Yountville. I left the property every morning to go on a run through the neighboring vineyards - there is truly nothing quite like the beauty of the Napa Valley. I've stayed at hotels around the world, and Auberge is exceptional in every way.

Our stay at auberge was nothing short of extraordinary. In summary this is an exquisite hotel with beautiful surroundings, great amenities , central location , but most importantly world class service. The attention to detail and appreciation for their guests is what I found most outstanding. TRIP TIP - make your winery reservations in advance! Location /amenities - very private but also close enough to wineries . Spa grounds are stunning! Pool is gorgeous with nice drinks and. Floaties although it was really hot. Rooms - we stayed in the private Maison. Would highly recommend this . Came fully stocked and I mean stocked ! high quality spirits, homemade mixers excellent wine and great service. Concierge - our concierge was wonderful . We made some reservations in advance but other boutique winery she picked was great ! We also enjoyed her local dinner selection SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE The staff is what truly makes this place special . We stay at many 5 star hotels and in my opinion they pale in comparison in this area. Everyone from the front desk , food and bev , concierge etc made us feel important. After this we stayed at a Ritz and it was definitely a step down . The staff went above and beyond to ensure all needs were met and they were so profesional. Auberge thank you for this wonderful stay hope to see you again soon !

This resort is beautiful! The views overlooking the valley are gorgeous. It is the ultimate 5 star hotel in Napa Valley. The staff was courteous, the room was always clean. We stayed here because of our anniversary and we're so glad we did.
