We've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rohnert Park many times. It's always been a decent place to stay. Until now. Upon entering the lobby, the first thing one will notice is a terribly dirty and worn carpet. The beds, which used to be very comfortable, are now back-breakers. They creak and moan with every turn, making the night not so pleasant. Their "free" breakfast was TERRIBLE. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. It was the only option for us as we had to be at the hospital in Santa Rosa at 7:30 that morning for an outpatient procedure for my husband. I tried to be forgiving about the breakfast, since it was, afterall, "free". But my husband was quick to remind me that the breakfast really wasn't free afterall; they have jacked up their rates to cover this for sure. We spent $230/per night and that was for a standard room. On the day of the surgery, we were gone from the room for over 5 hours. Came back in the afternoon only to find that our room had not yet been cleaned by the housekeeping staff. Having just had surgery that day, my husband wanted to lie down and rest. I called the front desk to say that the room had not yet been made up and the front desk attendant told me she would "put me on the list" for the room to be cleaned. Put me on the list? You mean one has to ASK to have their room serviced on the second day? Two hours later, and still waiting for the room to be cleaned. I went down to the front desk and told the gal there that we were still waiting. She said she would "let them know". When houskeeping finally arrived, she did the bare minium, made the 2 beds and emptied the trash and picked up the dirty towels. Did not vacuum, nor did she leave any new towels. We had just 2 towels left. We were unhappy with the service and unhappy with the dirty appearance of the premises overall. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns over the years and they're usually pretty good. We won't be returning to this one; we can see it has gone downhill in a big way. This hotel needs a total renovation. Needs new carpeting throughout, needs new beds. Needs to improve their "free" not so free breakfast. They could also use some friendlier front desk personnel and a better housekeeping staff. Can not recommend this hotel.

We apologize for not meeting your expectations. The good news is that we will be addressed when we undergo a complete remodel a little later this year. As for the other issues I only have 1 suggestion. Hotels cant determine when guests go out for the day. If you are going to be gone and would like housekeeping before a certain time just inform the front desk. Again we are sorry that we didn't meet your expectations. More communication about desired service times and needs can go a long way in avoiding such issues.

This is the second time I have stayed at this location while touring CA colleges (this time Sonoma State). Super close to campus, maybe a 5 minute drive. I had checked in on the app and selected my room, but was traveling with a friend and we requested rooms close by so that got changed with no problem. There was a little bit of a line when we checked in so we had to wait a few minutes, but not a problem. The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast is great which makes for a nice start to a long day of touring colleges. My only comment was that the TV in the breakfast area was on FOX news. I kind of think a TV in the main lobby should be on a more neutral station. Maybe a guest changed the channel, but maybe the front desk did it...makes me wonder about political leanings and I would rather not think about that at a hotel.

We thank you for the great comments. We also understand your observation about TV channels. The Hampton Inn doesn't make political statements. This is why we don't dictate which stations are allowed. A remote control is left in the lobby for guests to make their own choice. The only time we will step in is if their becomes a dispute between guests. At this point we can opt to select a neutral station or turn off the TV. The good news is that there has never been a time that this option was needed.

spent 3 nights #97892550. Had some mix ups in pricing on line. Richard very politely and efficiently straightened it all out and we ended up with a great rate also. All personnel were polite and helpful. Tye and Amanda were particularly attentive, polite and efficient. Breakfast was great, especially for a quick buffet style.

Thank you for staying. I am glad to see everything worked out. We know how difficult online reservations can be. The confusion, the restrictions, the hassle. We still recommend to either visit Hilton.com or just call us direct. We'll see you soon.

Tremendous experience! The staff was wonderful; especially Ty, Amanda, and Susan! Would recommend to all!! The buffet was always fresh and good, there was hot coffee round the clock! The iced lemon water in the lobby and, oh yeah, warm cookies!

On a recent trip to see our grand children, my wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rohnert Park, Ca. We are members of the Hilton Rewards program and were treated like special guests. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and above all, clean. The hotel is well staffed and willing to accommodate you for any and all requests. Initially the room we were given had a very persistent, low frequency, humming noise. Our room was changed with no hassles what so ever. Breakfast was adequate and normal for this type of hotel. The following day we had a great lunch in Bodega Bay, but that’s for another review. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and will stay here again in the near future.
