I want to give a shoutout to George, Yarelin, Lakeela, Lisa, Denise, Austin, Carter, Maria, Rafa, Selena, Letty, Valerie, Kayleigh and Bianca. Lastly Per for having an amazing team at the Marriott Riverside!
I have stayed at the Riverside Marriot for 16 years. Unfortunately, since they removed the carpets, the preexisting lack of soundproofing has been aggravated. All of the best suites (except the Presidential suite) have thin connected doors to the next room, and you can hear everything--and I mean everything-- going on next door. Conversations, phone calls, the TV, etc. And this means that your neighbor can hear you. Before the renovation, the carpets muffled much of the sound, but now they have that cheap laminate floor that is supposed to look like wood flooring, but fools no one. They should have eliminated most or all of the connecting doors if soundproofing was not an option. The benefit of that door being used by 1% of travelers is far outweighed by the burden of me having to hear my neighbor recount his entire day to his wife on the phone (or the indignity of his having his entire conversation heard by me, unbeknownst to him). As another reviewer pointed out, you cannot keep your AC fan on constant, so there's no white noise. Signs in the hotel trumpet that 12 million dollars was spent on the renovation, but that seems hard to believe. I've have shower fixtures come off in my hands (photo attached) and my heater fail. I've attached a photo of the utility door in my room sticking out of the wall. The rain shower head in the shower barely trickles (photo shows that you can see individual drops of water!), and the water is never hot enough. There's simply not enough attention to detail here. Even the concierge lounge is lackluster. On my last visit, the AC was set on Arctic--it must have been 62 degrees in there. They have oatmeal in the morning, but only teaspoons to eat it with, and, unlike literally every breakfast buffet I've ever seen, they have apparently decided that walnuts are too pricey, and instead provide peanuts to toss in your oatmeal. On the plus side, the employees are all friendly, and the location central. I just wish they had more attention to detail.…
Super friendly and helpful staff at this large hotel adjacent to the convention center and 2 blocks from the Mission Inn. Rooms are large and immaculately clean. You get either street noise or train noise. On the street noise side of the building ask for a room on a high floor. The bed and linens are super comfy and when you put your feet on the floor a light comes on from under the bed - super helpful in an unfamiliar room! The bathroom is massive and modern, with huge counter space and huge walk-in shower. Nice amenities too. In-room coffee with liquid creamer is always a win. Could use some more lighting over the desk and the closet area. The gym is well-equipped, the bar is full-service and there's a Starbucks in the lobby - everything you need!
Located at the Convention Center, this is a nicely furnished full service hotel. Conveniently located near the Mission Inn pedestrian walking mall that has several shops, restaurants and other attractions. Be sure to join the Marriott Bonvoy program, there are several perks.
I had opportunity to stay at this downtown Riverside property when business required me to be in the area. Check in was smooth, fast and welcoming. When I checked there was bit of heatwave in the area so my room was nice and cool. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This property is located the driveway from the Convention City. There is a short walk to the historic Mission Inn and downtown walking mall. I used the property gym and everything I used worked properly. I visited the onsite conciere lounge for both the morning and evening offerings. The food was very good and the workers there were friendly and helpful about local things. They have a outdoor patio which offers a killer panoramic view of the Eastern Riverside and the Mission Inn. The worker in the mornings in the Conciere lounge was very service oriented and helpful. This location was a short and easy drive to my business in the area. I only wish I could have stayed longer at this property. The only negative was like many SoCal locations, you have to pay for parking. Despite this I highly recommend this property..…
