The hotel was less expensive than other options and I was a bit alarmed that they keep their lobby doors locked and seldom have someone at the desk. The service however was friendly and good. Otherwise I found them above expectation. The bed was good. The little round table was handy for both eating and acting as a travel desk. There was a restaurant next door which I did not try, but looked decent. I found excellent restaurants within a mile or so. There is a full grocery store across the street. I would stay here again.
I live over an hour away near LA and had no reason to stop here. I have family in Riverside and my brother was visiting from out of state. At the end of the day I spent in Riverside we both looked for a hotel or cheap motel nearby that he could stay at. We looked at reviews. I stay at a lot of hotels because I travel for both work and personal reasons. My first thought at seeing an America's Best Value Inn with such great reviews was a little bit of shock. I have been to one other good America's Best Inn in my entire life as a travelor. That was pretty much it. They are far from the best anything including value. My brother ended up getting a double bed room so I decided to sleep over in Riverside instead of making the hour long trip back to LA. It was a good thing I did because this place was clean and quiet. I had a great rest and the first thing I wanted to do after leaving was writing a review about how great this place is. If more owners and managers took better care of their place like the management here you'd have a lot more happy guests throughout the country. Best thing about this place is that they don't charge you a crazy amount for something that should be basic: cleanliness, good service, and comfort. I don't need a bar with happy hour or fancy room service almost 90% of the time I'm travelling so why should I pay crazy money for pointless things. The prices in Riverside were ridiculous and I'm glad I found a place that was reasonably priced and clean.…
This hotel is located a short walk from downtown Riverside. We checked in a stayed in room 105. Our room had a fridge, large flat screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities, cooling and heating for the room. Our room did not have a safe. There was a guest laundry on site - reasonably priced. The bathroom was well equipped and everything worked well Our room had been refurbished recently and everything was neat clean and tidy Breakfast was available - the breakfast room was small - but the usual continental breakfast was available - cereal, toast, tea/coffee, waffles, pastries, fruit - we had no problem having breakfast and having a place to sit. We find during our travels that it is the staff who make a difference to your stay and visit and this case it was JEFF who could only be described as OUTSTANDING. Nothing was a problem for Jeff (from replacing the batteries in our door that had failed) to helping us with travel advise, tour advice and practically anything we needed - he is a real asset to Americas Best Value Inn. More importantly instead of acting robotically he took a genuine interest in use and our trip - WELL DONE and thank you. You could not do better than stay here - highly reccomemded…
This hotel was clean comfortable and within short walking distance to the downtown. Very good mexican restaurant next door. Many other restaurants within walking distance. Manager was very personable. Only downside was very TINY breakfast area.
Clean well maintained property...rooms are quiet and well equiped....loved new modern shower...perfect for 1-2 people, but on small side....large screen tv with hbo...breakfast average...cereal, toast, etc....close to everything in downtown Riverside.
