Motel is a good name for this location. My family and I traveled to Riverside for a funeral in the midst of the reopening of California. Because of this, there was no breakfast served. The location is not bad. If you go to the left there are about fifty different restaurants. If you go to the right another one hundred. The highway if fairly close and there is a shopping mall (not that we could go into it) close by as well. The room itself appeared relatively clean. The beds were made up everyday and we were given fresh towels as well. The bathroom was not as clean. There was a perpetual mildew smell and there was black mold on the bottom edge of the shower curtain. If you go with a family who uses a lot of electronics, be aware that there were only 4 free outlets. (We ended up unplugging the fridge and microwave for a couple of more.) There is also no hair dryer, iron, or hangers as well.…
Leave yourself an "out" if you are thinking of staying at this motel. See the room before you pay and reserve the right to cancel. We booked this hotel based on room photos and location and went the non-refundable option to save a little extra money. Still, the rate was $65 a day. The room was not at all as pictured. Shower curtain was filthy and "melted" (see photos). Fridge had been unplugged and smelled sour (milk?) Carpets and floors were filthy. The "free breakfast" was coffee and a cellophane packaged danish (not the good kind, we are talking 1/4 " thick). The "24 Hour Office" was locked when we left, no sign of anyone. Wifi worked after several attempts and phone calls. Finally, we were told, "Oh we have been having a problem today."
Check out your room carefully and in day light if possible no matter what kind of haste you have when you check in as there is NO refunds. The first sign of lack of cleanliness was a spotted sheet on the bed we choose (King size version here is two double beds) to sleep on. The spot appeared to be permanent and the beds were comfortable to sleep on (or we were just plain tired). When we used the bathroom with the light on and no real rush I began looking around. In all corners and the floor I saw dirt that had piled up where ever possible. Upon closer inspection I noticed brown spots on the wall which held the toilet dispenser and wondered FECES? There was also a hole in the was and the towel holder above the hole was coming away from the wall at one end. In the bedroom area I saw wads of what appeared to be gum on the carpeting and maybe some candy as well all imbedded into the carpet. All noise seemed to cease around 10 to 10:30 pm from others staying at the facility. We will probably NEVER stay here again or even consider it. Coffee and breakfast (a packaged roll) was available in the lobby in the mornings. This facility had numerous people in different rooms, health and fire hazards?…
This motel may be a little rundown, but for the price it was better than expected. The owner went out of their way to cater to whatever we needed. All in all , I would stay their again. The location even though not in the best part of town; is close to everything you may need.
