The room was clean and the bed very comfy. Nice sized TV. Fridge & Microwave, but no coffee maker in room, however, the manager/owner was very accommodating and gave me coffee whenever I went to the reception desk and requested it. The motel was close to shopping, movie theater and all types of restaurants with a Chinese & Korean restaurants right next door. I never took advantage of the breakfast, but the breakfast area is very small, so I'm guessing coffee and pastries. The only negative I can think of was that the bottom area of the ice machine was kind of gross and you had to ask for a token from the manager to access it for free (he gave me a quarter) but that's not enough to lower my rating. A nice, comfy, less expensive alternative for attending the Dickens Festival downtown.

I stayed in this place for 4 weeks during the months of June through July 2018. Driving up, I was a little leery due to its location and how it looked from the outside. Well, I took the chance and I am so glad I did. No, if you are expecting 5 star accommodations for the price, then you may be disappointed. The price is great for the value. My room was spartan but clean. The office staff were able to accommodate my every need. For what I paid, the room should have been in worse shape. There were new floors, clean sheets, plenty of light, and always clean when I got "Home". Those that gave it a bad review were expecting more than they paid for. I got more than I paid for. Friendly staff. If you are expecting gold fixtures and candies on the bed, then pay the extra and go somewhere else. If you want down home, clean rooms, and nice people at a decent price, you cannot do better than Simply Home Inn in Riverside CA..

I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced & close to my daughter's place whom I was visiting. I read previous reviews and was a little hesitant. Some mentioned the office was rude. I found the gentleman there very friendly and accommodating. Room 301 is a king suite. which I got because it was a tad larger for not much price difference The room was pretty clean. There were some spots that had been missed in the corners, but overall it was clean. Because a previous reviewer from a couple years ago mentioned bed bugs, I pulled the sheets off the bed and looked.. None. The sheets were worn somewhat, but crisp and clean. However, the couch in the room was rather worse for the wear, with some stains and worn out. Thus the 3- "OK" rating for cleanliness. The room itself was large with wood floors (no worrying if carpet is clean), had a nice TV, mini fridge and microwave. All worked well. The A/C worked very well, which was important as there was a heat advisory in the area, temps up to 108. The fridge worked so well that the ice I got Fri. night & put on the first shelf (not in freezer) was still ice on Sun. night. It was previously said that they charge for ice..technically yes, the machine takes a quarter, but as I got to it, the office gives you the quarter. The area is a mix of retail (a large, lit shopping center across the street) & lots that are unoccupied. I did see a couple transients walking down the street, but not loitering a the hotel. I stayed the weekend and guests were quiet. I felt safe staying alone. Some road noise, bring earplugs. I would stay again.

We stayed here a couple of nights for my son's wedding. The manager was very helpful, and noticed that there was another person with the same surname registered for the same 2 nights. When we told him it was our daughter, he gave us 2 adjoining rooms so we could be close together. They had been remodeling all the rooms, were updating a few of them while we were there. Continental breakfast and an automatic coffee maker in the lobby were fine. Very clean, comfortable and quiet place. Bars of soap are tiny, but they gave us additional ones on request.
