Pretty bare bones but all we needed for a place to sleep following a late evening wedding. The bed was comfortable, and the place was clean. It had a small fridge and a coffee maker. The photo is a bit misleading. Nothing quaint just the usual two story motel. There was no lobby for checking in, just a gentleman behind a window, but he was polite and the process was easy.
1960’s vintage hotel. Only hotel in town. Furnishings dated and worn. Tiny sink. Floor and carpet need cleaning. Heater loud and mounted high so hot air stayed near ceiling. WiFi VERY slow. TV cable does work well.
Close motel in Rio Vista to stay at and not have to travel a distance to get too. Clean room, quiet. We were unable to use the pool, closed for repair, disappointed, as we had no notice. Also, would like an iron and ironing board in the rooms.
I had room #1 and it was great. It was large and well maintained with fresh paint on the walls. The bed was not as good as my own at home but I slept fine. And it was close to several good restaurants. And a short drive to the boat launch.
This motel is ok, but toward the bottom end of “acceptable”. + double-pane windows work well to keep road noise out. + pet friendly, no charge; grassy area for doggy needs. + King bed (room #2) was comfortable. + Room is large, with desk. Desk chair is wood & not very comfy, though. + large upholstered chair + Fridge & Microwave, in-room coffee + McDonalds & convenience store are walking distance, but only if you can RUN across the highway. No stoplight, stop sign or crosswalk. +. There is actually an old downtown with shops and a few restaurants! 32” flat-screen TV has good picture but is hard to use (2 remotes) w/limited channels + As It’s the only hotel/ motel within 12 miles, it ain’t bad. Now, the not-so -great: - bathroom has no soap dish, so you set it on the sink top. - no shampoo supplied. - shower never got hot enough to need cold water added. - not inexpensive at $95. Better places for less in Stockton/Lodi. Overall, my wife, who is a Hilton kind of gal, was not unhappy. ‘Nuf said.…
We to a wedding on the Delta and needed a room that is pet friendly. Rio sands was the closest and the reviews were so so. The Pergo type flooring-in rm #18 was dirty. Not cleaned from the last tenant staying there. Walking around bare foot in the room, your feet are black. The shower is very small. About 30” square I’d say. There was a small fridge and microwave. The building is very dated but there is grass so your pets do have a place to go. Won’t recommend to friends
While here traveling, this was a very clean, nice place to stay. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful-especially Teresa the manager. We were able to unwind and found this location to be convenient and beds very comfy!
Quick check in and good service. Big room with clean bed. The shower is in need of renovation/maintenance. Some of the guests had a dog in the room, and the outside of the room and stairs didnt not look very nice. As one dog where bleeding from its behind... All in all, it seems overpriced, and there are better options... 90 dollars for this room, when you can get an Best Western room, with breakfast for 100... A tip: book room at Hotels.com as you go.
Came to the area for a wedding and there were not many places to stay. This was one of the recommendations to stay and since it had a three star rating thought it would be decent to stay in. Sadly that was not the case. One of the rooms that we had reserved didn't have a pull out coach for our grandson to sleep in and it smelled horrible. They did have another room but it wasn't next door like we had wanted. The recliner chair that was in our room smelled like urine so we were never able to sit in it. The hot water heater wasn't working and you had to turn on the water for at least 5 minutes to get luke warm water. The heater/AC unit was so loud when it kicked on it kept us up most of the night. Sounded like a loud washing machine. Overall we just needed a place to sleep but would have found another place to stay had we known the conditions of this one. Would never recommend to anyone or stay there again.…
Good location if you need to be in Rio Vista. Otherwise an adequate room. I've stayed there a few times and the beds are not too comfortable but average for a cheap hotel. The front desk guy was helpful finding a restaurant.
